Chelsea must be wondering why they are only putting him on a trial deal with a pathetic two year contract.
-
Got a very good friend who has met him a couple of times, first time was about two or three years ago, said he was a bit of a prick. Very cold and emotionless. Obviously ignored what he was saying at the time, but it's become very obvious that he was spot on. Last time he met him was at a wedding this time last year, when he got Ratboy to wish my son and stepson a happy summer. That worked out well

Wages are covered in the annual report, I'm sure that's a bit more reliable than what Froggy says on Newcastle Online
-
Newcastle and Man U have had fairly similar results in the last five years (a title, a final, similar average league positions) I'd say, so it seems fair to me that we should have the rights to have the same amount of revenue as they do, even if that revenue comes from our owners.

Shut the fuck up saints, you tried to cheat, got caught and punished. Tough luck.

Ratboy is on @Mike
-
Sure, but what about Ratboy?
-
He's managed to warm up looking completely uninterested so far. Probably as good as it gets from him.
-
Probably shite would be my guess.
-
Definitely had to double check the picture that it wasn't him

As much as I hate to say it, Yamal is incredible. Probably between him and Kvara. Rice and Gabriel also has to be up there, though obviously for very different reasons.

Brighton apparently about to bid £20m for Zadok Yohanna. We should be all over that (tm) as a Gordon replacement, even though he plays mostly on the right.
-
No I'd agree with that, which is why I'm slightly miffed because we should be ripping them off. Feels like we've accepted their first offer, when we probably could have squeezed an extra 10-15m in total for him.
-
You could still have say 1.5x the number of standing compared to seated and it would still be absolutely fine in terms of safety. I stopped going in the standing sections when I was like 18 mind

Arsenal, City, Man U, Villa, Liverpool in the CL Mackems, Bournemouth and Palace in the EL Brighton in the conference league Is that right?

Since staying up, our biggest issue has been we've never had any good sellable players. Our squad has been stacked with aging players not worth selling as the replacement would cost a lot more. I think the only players we've managed to shift for any type of fees from the pre takeover era are ASM and Almiron, and Anderson which we obviously had to sell for way less than he was worth. I can't think of any other PL team having been stuck with such a disgrace of a squad that most of it have been largely unsellable despite the teams success on the pitch.

This has been their best season in most of their fans lives, so probably worth it despite what happens next year.

Gordon is by far the biggest winner here like Both us and Barcelona got good arguments for why we could have done better from this deal, but Gordon getting a move to arguably the biggest club in the world is wild after his last couple of seasons
-
I mean if makes sense that he'd make around that signing for Barca in his prime for this amount of money.

Spot on, and especially last summer when we were preparing for a champions league season and had to sell our star striker, with our back up striker leaving on a free. We basically set our sights too high, which lead to us missing out on our main targets, and meant we couldn't sell Isak. It wasn't until one of Europe's most exciting forwards in Woltemade became available the last week of the window we changed our stance on Isak, but with hindsight that obviously didn't work out and we would have been better off going with a lesser hyped player. I just hope we have learnt our lesson for this summer, especially now with Gordon moving for big money. We need to be a lot smarter with how we spend it, but I reckon it will be a lot easier to identify targets this year compared to last.

Happy enough with this, but I do feel like we could have squeezed a few more millions out of it. Seems like we've just accepted their first offer, which is a bit weird? How many other England Internationals in their peak ages with so much left on their contracts would have gone for as little as this? I know Anderson is a couple of years younger, but he will most likely cost £10-20m more this summer for example.
-
Is safe standing just a 1-to-1 replacement for seated fans or can you squeeze in a few more in the standing sections?

Liverpool sold to Bayern Munich just last season, and funded a big part of their recent success by selling Coutinho to Barcelona. Being good sellers is imperative for pretty much all clubs bar a very select few. If we want to reach that point, then yes being able to sell ourselves as a stepping stone has to be part of the plan.
