Been baffled by some of my mates that are vehemently against modern football and VAR and everything else have been in favour of this new system. I hated it last season when I had no skin in the game, but having experienced it this year it's even worse. The games just means nowt, in the past we might get some teams resting players for the last round, but this feels way worse.

Spot on. This new format is absolutely wank. Our wins in the group stage didn't make me feel anything. Even that loss to Barcelona at home didn't hurt as bad as it should have, as I always thought we'd be fine. Think a Europa League season could be a bit of fun mind.

Wissa is on Howe I'd say, but Woltemade feels like a club purchase. Wissa was excellent for Brentford last season, and I'd say it's only hindsight saying that signing has been terrible. He was every bit the perfect Wilson replacement we could have wanted. The Rat issue over the summer has well and truly fucked us this season to be honest.

I would've preferred Livra to start, tonight but he's been out injured for ages. I wouldn't have benched Burn for anyone in our squad tonight though, he had a bit of a shocker tonight, but this is exactly the kind of game he has been magnificent in since he came.

Joelinton was the only pre takeover player that started tonight, and Willock and Murphy the only two that came on. This isn't an Ashley era team any more, however you'd be a fool to not understand we're still massively suffering the consequences of that era. We basically had an entire squad with no resale value, and thanks to FFP we're still dealing with that.
