  1. 17th would be horrendous considering we've played pretty much the entire season without arguably our best player in Ben Arfa, as well as all of January without our best striker in Carroll. I think most of us thought we'd be fucked if we were to lose Carroll for over a month, but alas, we've been fine and very unlucky to be 12 points away from the relegation zone. If we get all our best players available for a run in March/April, I'd be shocked if we end up below 15th.

    Alan Pardew

First time I've listened to him without wanting him to shut up. In fact, that was quite a good interview, he spoke a lot of sense
  3. That is just daft man As for Brum, and Gardner in particular, he's been their best player every time I've seen them this season. Not saying that much, but he's doing well enough so far.
  4. Put £10 on Birmingham to qualify at half time. Thought I had posted it, but obviously I didn't . Anyway, another good win at 7/1. Can't believe it, don't think I've won since early December, now I go and win twice in a row
  5. Depends on how strong is the side we put out really. Rumour is that it's going to be a strong one but we'll see. I've already knee jerked and placed way, way, too much on -2. This is gonna potentially be hell to sit through. Where you getting -2 at? Bet365 only offering -3 Click "Additional Asian Handicap"

This is gonna potentially be hell to sit through. Barcelona is 1.3 for -2 (1.55 for -2.5) on bet365. I'm guessing you've put a rather massive amount on that then?
  7. Brummie, do you know how long he's supposed to be out for?
  8. What part of Barton Tiote Nolan Ben Arfa Ireland Carroll don't you get? That would improve on us massively if Ireland can recapture his form.
  9. As it looks like we're not signing a striker this window, Ireland would be perfect to play in the hole between the midfield and Carroll (or Ameobi until AC is fit). It will ease the pressure on Ben Arfa when he comes back as well. Especially if it's a loan, it looks like a very good deal for us.
  10. What was the score in the first leg between West Ham and Birmingham? 1-0 to West Ham?
  11. Fucking hell, that is absolutely awful.
  12. Yes, that's how good he is in the CM role.. And we had Smith playing CM that day.
  13. http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/370/capturely.png My first win in fucking ages. Was a nervous wreck during stoppage time in both games EDIT: That's in Swedish kronor, obviously. £1=10.6 Swedish.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    Fancy translating that, Mimi?
  15. Said to me old man before the game that I fancied Blackpool to win it. They've certainly been the better team, but I fear Man U will come out from this all guns blazing in the second after a couple of substitutions.
  16. Barton Tiote Nolan Johnson Ireland Carroll At least until Ben Arfa returns
  17. The majority of Nolan's goals have come from CM when we've played 4-4-2. Are you sure? I seem to remember him scoring typically with a single striker. I do remember him scoring in the 442 recently but that was off a rebound, just outside of the penalty box. With a single striker (typically carroll) he plays more forward, in front of goal. Nah, you're wrong. Nolan is most effective when he's got two strikers in front of him.
  18. Aye, I probably would have gone for a 4+1 contract or something like that. Still, happy with this like
  19. Ben Arfa and Tiote returning will be massive, I think we'll be fine even if we don't add another player. Barton, Tiote, Gosling, Nolan, Guthrie, Jonas, Ben Arfa is almost two players for each position, and most of them can do a capable job in most MF positions. And we've got Ferguson and Vuckic should things go tits up.
  20. Any good, worth signing? He's only a kid still, but he's certainly talented. He really needs to get out of City, they wouldn't loan him back to Burnley because they felt they "needed more strikers". As for him rejecting the City-contract, I do believe it's not because he wants more money, but because he feels he'll not be given a proper chance, which is fair enough considering their strike force.
  21. Hopefully EA fires Gray after this so we can have a new commentator for FIFA 12. Though they've stuck with Tiger, so I can't really see it happening
