I don't like Maddison on the left tbh, seems unnatural. I think right would be even worse. I'd like to see him compete with Willock if he came, and be backup for wing positions. -
I just don't see how we only buy two players, our squad is nowhere near big enough to cope with CL. Two elite and Tierney/LB would make sense. Tierney, Maddison and a CM.

That can be a help in some scenarios, I was listening to Beresford talk about how he thought Gazza was 'autistic' because on the field 'everything made sense' whereas off it he was a loose cannon.

I'm not particularly worried about his inconsistency I think he showed enough back end of the season how good he can be. The injuries are the main problem for me, and that will be why we'll only get 30 odd million.
