How Iniesta didn't win is beyond me. The man pretty much ran things from start to end during the WC, was Spain's most important player along with Villa. To me he is the best player in the world. Same goes for Hallenius not winning the goal competition.

Nolan has blasted the ref and FA for this, one of the top stories on skysports.com. Nice to see our captain speak his mind, the way he speaks has always led me to believe he'll become a good manager, can't really say why.

Blackpool playing really good football again. One of the most entertaining teams in the league.

Apparently you have learned nothing! Nolan in midfield with Barton?! Nolan shouldn't be played in midfield without Tiote in there. Barton is better than Smith, but even he would struggle to do the work Tiote does to make up for Nolan's hopelessness at everything other than finishing in the box. You have to understand that as bad as Smith was today, Nolan also played a huge part in making him look even worse. You're right, I agree 100%. But the way I see it, it's less catastrophic if we put and actual footballer by Nolan's side than that man who for some reason turned up in our jersey today. Guthrie isn't derby material and therefore not an option in my opinion. Would be nice if we had Gosling back, but it's no game to make your comeback in either. -
Not a kneejerk reaction by any means, but a few more gutless performances and I can see this turning very ugly for him. Blaming things that obviously have no relation to the spineless efforts that were performed today is something you usually only see managers under pressure do. Will be interesting to see how we respond to this at the mackems.

Cattermole's out and he managed to behave perfectly well last time around.

and then we take away our most creative option - barton on the right. f***, this is a nightmare I know, but I'd rather do that and aim for not conceding than having Smith pretty much playing for them. It's one hell of a blow that(if) Tioté is out. Add Carroll to that and we're half the side we're with them playing. -

If he learnt anything from today, it's not to play Smith under any circumstances. I'd put Barton alongside Nolan in the middle and use Routledge right wing. -
Competition: Ziani chooses El-Jaisch (rich as f*ck Qatari club)

Is he any good? Never seen him play. -
Away section looks mint. Superb atmosphere from Leeds fans.
-
Glenn Whelan, that's underwhelming if anything. Imagine the look on Ben Arfas face.

Apparentley Matthew Grieve has gone to Stockport as well. His contract is running out isn't it?
-
Bosse Petersson? Who wants him to stay in Birmingham, despite Seb clearly not being happy there, or for him to go to Everton because it would be a "step up". Same guy who stated that Louis Saha has proven too many times he's not good enough for the Premiership. Also tried to convince everyone that Bales fluke headed goal from van der Vaarts free kick was something the two of them had practiced in training. Complete tosser.

Just to mention; he play's RB for Sweden quite a lot so he's good cover for Simpson as well.

Terrific. Especially for us Swedes, will be a lot of attention directed Newcastles way in our media if he signs. Tbh it would be a very good signing if it's true. Larsson is a superb crosser of the ball, hard working and a very good passer of a football as well. Takes one hell of a freekick too.
