Every player would have went after relegation if a decent chance would have been there. Joey and Nolan as well. But they weren't wanted. The same goes for Colo and Enrique. Doesn't matter, though. All that does matter is that they have been here through that season in the CCC. That has made them a team (or that 'group of lads') and thats why we shouldn't sell anyone (or not renew the contract of anyone) that is still capable of playing for another few years at top level and has been here through that CCC season. You pay what players are worth. No matter how good a group of lads that isn't going to win them a CL spot. until they're worth more than you fancy paying them, then you sell them

So that's one place we're gonna be weaker for next season. Next. if this happens, we will be weaker. larsson might have good delivery but he hasnt got the quick feet and range of passing that barton has displayed this season, not to mention the fighting spirit and determination.

Thought I read somewhere that he did start out as a striker. Did he ? He is a fkn better shout as a striker than Shola, at least Taylor would put 100% in every game. He is getting to much stick over the Everton game, he was so unfit after an age out injured, he flew forward to try and support that attack but did not have the legs to get back. You can see how he has improved as hit fitness has. No he wouldn't. Another good performance from him yesterday as well. Unless we buy a new central defender in the summer (which I highly doubt we will), then the shirt is now Taylor's to lose. :facepalm: this will not end well, mark my words

nolan's little bairn yesterday was hilarious. barton had obviously been given the job of looking after it as kev was on crutches, the way it just kept legging it away from him was class, most entertaining part of the afternoon.

. He won't get that at Liverpool! They're trying though, which is kinda the point. Liverpool sold their best striker for 50M and bought one good replacement and one with potential and it seems to you "they are trying". We sold our best striker for 35M and are planning to buy replacements in the summer and yet we somehow show no ambition, such blatant double standards in interpretation! The least you could do is wait till the end of the summer transfer window before concluding that we are going in a different direction from Liverpool. Why wait when we can be negative now! i've said this before like but some of us have been paying attention since ashley bought the club, not just this season. it's going to take a HUGE change in attitude to move us forward to the position where our best players want to stay for footballing reasons. some prefer to assume this attitude change has already happened without seeing any evidence, others are waiting to see it change, that's the difference. and where did this 15 million bollocks come from? there's no way we're getting that, no way.
