williamson mate, colo will get absolutely bummed in the air by carroll best way to deal with carroll is cut the supply line from midfield, close them out and they'll resort to carragher hoofing it up to carroll mindlessly
-
back on topic..... i still think they'll stay up, but lose this weekend at home to wigan and i'll start to wonder
-
just read we've only won 2 of last 13, hmm

haha, i wish it was that easy. seriously though it worries me, he's already brought taylor in a few times this season when he didnt have to, when its been pretty easy to see that our defence works better with willicini. just hate the thought of taylor having to be injured for us to revert back to our very settled, very competent back line, again.

i know

But he isn't doing that now anyway? there was a point when i thought he wasnt doing it, and then he started again.

i like jonas in the first team, you can rely on him to absolutely run his bollocks off and he also does some canny work on the ball keeping possession. could we do better? probably, but he's miles away from being our main problem imo. i think he'd do some good work opening up space for ben arfa too.

my last thought as i dropped off to sleep last night was 'i will be fucking livid if pardew continues to try and get taylor into the defence and starts him with colo next season'. i had nightmares.

the same caicedo that played at man city? Yep the same one. i have to admit to not seeing him play since, i'm assuming he's improved drastically? Tbh i've not seen very much of him this season, but he has scored quite a few goals for a poor side, the couple of games i saw he was very good (dont remember which ones though) i dont even know who he plays for now i just recall him being a source of much amusement in our house during his time at man city, he was awful

i've got a sneaky feeling we'll win this, think we'll be playing with a little bit of freedom and confidence from tuesday night, that added to having near a full strength team and i think we'll see a pretty relaxed team enjoying itself and our quality will be better than theirs

I don't think there's anything wrong with his discipline personally. If you take that aggression away from his game, then he won't be the same player. Plus as Gimp mentioned - at the moment he seems to get booked a lot for trivial things, it's not like he's intentionally going out there to injure opponents. He just needs to be a bit clever sometimes I think, not tackle someone when he could just block their path and protect the space. We miss him a lot when he's out, would be great if he could learn to get suspended less. I wouldn't want to change his fundamental nature though obviously, you're right there. not many of those bookings haven't been of the professional 'necessary' type though. thats it like, the majority of the time he gets booked i think fair do's, you had to make that challenge there

was nice to see him applaud every side of the ground on about 90 mins when we were encouraging the team for one last push, fair play on that.

i'd love to know what Barton said to him when the game stopped for a little bit
-
think he's mint, looked great at spurs but never got a chance
-
if it's gonna be the transfer activity that convinces him to stay, let's hope it happens early
