i'll think you'll find it was a lack of effort that we had a problem with, which there are NO excuses for.

i slagged him to high heaven after the man city performance and rightly so imo. but he's put a major shift in today and after seeing him in the reserves this week i'm disapointed with shearer that he didnt start with him.

satisfied with that result given the circumstances, injuries, stoke, us being a fucking dreadful team. lets just hope that alan's learned his lesson with you know who. -

true, but while they aren't top players, Ricardo Fuller and james Beattie would have done far better for us than Ameobi and Viduka. Maybe they were too pricey for Mike ? i was actually pleased to see you'd posted in this thread about how vital this game is. its nice to see you talking about football, and then you have to spoil it with this shit, is it any wonder you're a bit of a joke on here? get out of this thread with your trolling horse shit, we're supporting the team in here, not the owner. -
Stoke aren't some sort of team of monsters, a lot are just six foot blokes, so what? Players like Defoe and Benayoun manage to survive in the PL (Zola in the past as well) no reason why Ranger would struggle (size wise at least). This, I think Stokes physical presence has been exaggerated to the point that people think we're going up against a team of body builders. been to see him play yet mate? i've been once and i can comfortably say he's not ready I'll take Shearer's assessment of him being ready or not over yours any day though. so will i mate.

after watching carrol in the reserves i'd be surprised if we didnt see him and owen start, dont know what to think about this match to be honest, is it too soon for al to have lifted them? especially with our injury troubles, i'm worried. -

pretty much agree with all of this, twas my first reserve game, enjoyed it. smith was SHIT

just realised that portsmouth and boro have pretty easy looking games this weekend, shitballs
-
interesting that ranger's one of the players mentioned on the official site when they're talking of a strong lineup for the reserves

Guthrie needs to start in the fooking prem man. He may not be 100% fit but his energy levels must be higher than that of the sloth and the paraplegic one. good move i think, get his fitness up for stoke, hope thats the plan

a battering ram like carroll (no one's saying he's a great player) or a xisco to try and hold up the play and allow the midfield to join and/or bring owen into the game is a must imo as i say stick with the top two from saturday we'll go down i reckon Spot on. The only mistake has been that Ameobi was given the role of battering ram earlier in the season and thus that tactic didn't pay off as much as it could had. We'd really ought to put Carroll in there. I wouldn't have a problem with playing two small statured strikers, if they'd be intelligent in their movement and quick. Martins is really f***** useless. He can only run straight forward and Owen just lacks the engine and aggression for the type of movement that is needed up front. Lovenkrands has been pretty good with his movement up front and despite lacking fitness seemed to know what he was doing. His performances actually showed how poor the two, Martins and Owen, have been all season. agree with the lack of movement but as i said in a post elsewhere i also think a large part of that comes down to our diabolical midfield...if they were providing better balls to the front, MORE INTELLIGENT BALLS, then oba & owen would be able to improve themselves look at it from their pov at the moment as 2 small strikers....what kind of pass are you likely to get in our team? ;D post of the year! i agree fwiw -
is he playing for the reserves tonight? think i'll go if he is, not arsed about watching anyone else, i'll just watch him for 90 minutes like my own live player cam

I have serious just laughed out loud at that! Etherington - no pace!?? Say what you want about Delap but your new Messiah has seen enough of the havoc his throws have done sitting on the BBC sofa so I can guarantee you he will be thinking and preparing to defend them all week, just like Boro, Bolton, Man C and Liverpool all did before you. With the exception of Bolton they all changed their team to try and counter our height and the throws . . so buckle up and enjoy the ride! saying this stuff over and over just makes you sound like a bell end -
fucking hell, all this speculation is killing me, does anyone else feel like they've been wondering who our next full time manager is gonna be for about a year and a half?

arsenal fan on five live - 'they've only got themselves to blame, they had allardyce'

He's hardly gonna turn around and say "I want the job full time. I hope the fucker dies" He didnt have to even mention it though tbh. He specifically said, im only looking at the next 8 games. Something in it for me, he didnt need to mention Kinnear. as much as it points to a chain of events that i want to happen, i'd suggest there's more in the fact that dennis wise has left on the same night that shearer has come in
-
except he hasnt, unless he's signed that contract while he was in hospital
-
heard quite a few people say this today and its makes me laugh, aside from ferguson name me a few managerial careers that haven't/definitely wont end in tears, even mourinho to chelsea ended in tears man you knacker, the very fact that there HAS to be an end, implies the tears, its the nature of the beast.
-
well i thought that keegan would only ever come back if he was gonna get lots of money to spend and all the power he wanted, and that clearly wasnt the case. so i'm not taking anything for granted.
-
god i hope so, then i can renew my season ticket!!
