worth every penny Can you tell me this weeks lottery numbers too. ahh, you're saying that i'm using the benefit of hindsight and i couldnt possibly have known he would be worth every penny when he signed? is this correct? am i on the right lines? keep me right here i'm just not so sure that post made you look as clever as you intended it to If you weren't being sarcastic I sincerely appologise. haha, i was deadly serious, thats ok mate, have you got sigs turned off or something? i've been fighting his corner for years, incidentally i just won a 100 quid bet that he would come back from injury and be a major player for us, a bet i made with me mam! Ah, yes. Looking at your profile I see how stupid that looked. Yes I have sigs and avatars and as much crap as possible turned off. fair enough fella, no harm done -

I honestly can't believe that people think paying more than double what our nearest rivals were willing to pay for a player who was desperate to get first team games and could only manage that by leaving a club who were only too willing to let him go was good business. we can be sure of one thing mate, freddy shepherd loves money, i'll take some convincing that he'd have paid more than he had to to get someone, more than he thought he had to i mean, there can be no accounting for stupidity -

Mort must think he knows better than Alex Ferguson Fancy Alex Ferguson spending 100m quid to win the title when he could have got away with spending a fraction of that, I hope the manu fans give him the grief he clearly deserves does it really matter what mort says mate? really? or are you just pissing and moaning? wait and see what they DO until coming out with all this man, we all know you're just getting your insurance in for your inevitable i told you so's, its like a win win situation for you isnt it, if they spend big you'll be happy coz you're a fan, and if they fuck it up you can bleat on about shepherd MORE -

i'll be very surprised if keegan doesnt get what he wants, and we all know that'll be some top quality players to go straight into the team, he's already said so, why would they bring him in only to snub him in the summer? wouldnt make sense, especially now he's turned the whole club around, ashley will be as excited as the rest of us at the prospect of what kev can do with some better players. -
how class was it when beye came to the gallowgate after the final whistle yesterday? absolutely love the bloke, ability, atitude, and he doesnt take ANY shit

Watched the whole game back on sky plus and Barton didn't give the ball away until the 60th minute (barring a few long range, risk, passes which is ok). At that time the whole team got sloppy. . at last some sense, wish people would stop judging barton on his previous peformances tbh, since the brum game he's been getting better every week, does the simple things well, and you need that aswell as 60 yard killer passes -
as much as i hate her and her type, i'm having that

They were all poor I thought, even Owen and Viduka who are usually our better players in possession were sloppy and gave it away too much. A very sloppy performance but it'll be overlooked because it was a derby, lets hope we can get back on track for the West Ham game. I thought Owen was very good, on and off the ball. He played a great ball through to Martins for example that you wouldn't expect from him, a killer through ball, and while not all his passing came off, the intent and ideas behind some of his attempts were spot on. He also switched play superbly at times. ditto, owen ran the game for us, in the first half at least, which was a good job becuase obafavourite martins looked like he'd never seen a football before, however i would have left him on as his pace obviously is a threat to teams and duff's fucking horseshit imo only owen, butt and barton really turned up, defense didnt have much to do but i have to say i thought taylor was a bit better than usual, faye was beaten all day by jones -

have to say i find this very odd, there were large sections of the game where he was the only lad in black n white able to actually pass to a team mate, i thought he was quality, again -
give him whatever he wants, head and shoulders above any other attacking player this season and when he has signed can we start singing his name next season? for fucks sake

Why not wait and see instead of having a go about something which may not happen? because the entire point of this forum is for us all to say what we think should happen, what we think WILL happen, and then the ones who were right get to say i told you so, over and over again? -

A cross between that and a fundamentalist Muslim, preposterously overreacting any time he considers his idol has been slighted. will someone who's proficient with photoshop PLEASE make this idea into a picture? i'm thinking of this one http://sioedeutschland.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/behead_those_who_insult_islam_london.jpg -

Away kits have been primarily driven by commercial exploitation rather than on-field footballing reasons for nearly 20 years now, and third kits exclusively so. Way back in the 70's and early 80's you'd rarely see a team in their away kit unless there was a clash with their opponents home kit, but then they figured out that away kits were a potentially source of lucrative revenue and now teams regularly turn out in away kits even if there's no clash at all. As for third kits, there's absolutely no footballing reason to have them whatsoever. It's virtually impossible to have a kit clash with both home and (properly designed) away kits. How many kits have Spurs got this year? 4 Yup. It's bad enough bringing out a third, or "European" kit like we have done, but the worst example is when Man Utd and Liverpool brought out "European home kits", that are still red for fucks sake, just with different lines on them. I've never bought a third shirt and havn't had an away shirt for about 5 years now. ditto few things piss me off more than people wearing away shirts to attend matches, we should be aiming for a sea of black n white

can you make another one so i can vote twice for shepherd?

At one game earlier in the season Martins had a shot from about 15 yards out that the keeper saved and the bloke behind me was screaming "Why didn't you fucking pass it to him man!" pointing towards Geremi out wide, later in the second half a similar situation occurred but this time he did pass it to Geremi who wasted it only for the same bloke to shout "What are you passing to him for for fucks sake, shoot man" It's easy to point something out afterwards and say they should have done this or that, you won't find many strikers who would pass when they've got a chance to shoot though, especially in the position he was in when he could have passed to Barton. just because the bloke behind you is fickle/stupid doesn't mean that oba doesnt need to try and improve his vision, he does. put quite simply he SHOULD have passed the ball to barton, any player in that position should as barton was in such a superior position to score, there was also quite a few occassions against pompey when his decisions were odd, and thats being kind.
