He seems pretty excellent to me TBH.

The squad depth/morale arguments are sound, IMO. When it comes to morale, ultimately EH has to judge whether moving on x player is going to spoil the vibez. The moral argument doesn't stand up, however, if it's a good deal for the club then move them on. There's going to be a lot of that, I expect, because EH gets players over-performing and they'll be more likely to attract interest.

Sorry, what am I missing? What’s happening here that’s ‘bad for the game’ that hasn’t been happening forever? Football is capitalism.

Nobody cares about politicians looking for votes is one of the strangest things I’ve ever read.

I think some people get very rigid when considering new signings, reducing the discussion to ‘who would he replace in the first 11’ isn’t really the point. The more pertinent question when building a squad, IMO, is ‘do we have anyone else like him?’ I don’t think we do.
