I thought he should have dealt with it actually. Chopra wasn't that near him when Butt headed it back. He's done well to last a damn sight longer than Boumsong did, think he'll do a Vidic next season.

your crazy... AT CROSSING I think he's class, but his crossing has been awful today. When you're under as much pressure as he is I'm sure not many players would be able to cross much better. He constantly has three players on him because he's the only player in our team that runs past people, in a team that functions better and spreads the ball a bit better I'm sure his crossing will be much better. Why do you feel the need to defend him so much rather than looking at the facts? Was his crossing appauling today or not? Yes, but it seems that no-one on our team crosses well (consistently). Coaching issue perhaps? Most of Duff's crosses weren't that good, but that cross near the end that almost landed on Ameobi's foot was a peach.

My main issue with Taylor aren't his attributes, but the fact that he hides when he is needed defensively. How many games have we seen where Taylor literally disappears from the game and his partner is left to do most if not all of the defending?

Agreed. Even if the interest from us is genuine, I doubt very much we will meet their valuation. I just can't see us splashing that sort of money on one player, especially a foreign one who Kinnear would probably leave out of the first 11 because he can't pronounce his name. Colo?

Spurs have got better players and they will go on a run and get away from the bottom. They aren't going to get relegated while Bolton quite possibly could, although today's result will give them a massive lift. Only if football is played on paper. Bolton's form only looks as bad as it does because they played Manure, Liverpool and Arsenal in their last 5 games; even when they lost against Manure they gave them a pretty good fight, which is something I can't see coming from us or the Spuds as they are.

We were conceding goals from corners for fun against Liverpool, and that definitely isn't (only) about the individual defenders.

They have a tendency to win big against poor teams (not to mention that I can't remember the last time we beat them). Is there a single team in the prem in worse form than us right now? Bolton, Tottenham, Portsmouth, Stoke, Boro and Hull! As much as I hate to admit it, Tottenham and Portsmouth play far better stuff than what we've been served up; Stoke and Bolton are horrid to watch but at least they can defend, while Hull just beat us! Boro perhaps
