Even though I'm a fan of the NBA I hate how American it all sounds. But to be honest it's probably not the worst thing to implement. Maybe I'm looking at it very simplistically and I know it won't solve all the problems in the league but if it is something that needs to be covered by the club's owners so they can't just saddle the club with more debt from it, it goes some way to ensuring the liability for overspending is on the owners themselves and not fucking a club even further at no cost to themselves if/when they walk away.

With Howe and his learning of lessons I get the feeling we won't see the main fruits of such learnings until the following season more often than not. Whatever people's thoughts on him I don't think anyone in their right mind that would argue he isn't meticulous to a fault. So much so I imagine he's often going to be loathe to change what he spent a whole summer devising then drumming in to the team. It's even more reason why I really am interested to see if he changes much/a lot about the makeup of the team going in to next season, whether it's personnel or tactics.

I hope I'm not the only one utterly lost as to what you're drawing our attention to here.
