Half decent striker as well.
-
It would be pretty stupid to sack him if you missed out since there's about 6/8 teams with realistic hopes for a UEFA place. He's only just starting to put his backroom staff in place too.
-
Stewards aside, I imagine it was exactly the same as my visit to Pride Park. Identikit stadiums engulfed by retail units on all sides and link roads. Horrible.
-
He's never failed? Eh? As far as I know Ramos never had any notable success until getting the Sevilla job. Bit of a journeyman type in the past.
-
I don't think it would happen with normal home games as giving up home advantage is amuch bigger issue than in American sports where there is virtually no atmosphere and in the case of Ice Hockey and Basketball are played in multi-purpose indoor arenas that all look the same. Community Shield games are the only ones I can see happening. I wouldn't be in favour of it though.

If you haven't got 4 or 5 star rating then you're not allowed to be picked. Nothing to do with being ignored. It's like a Bolton fan kicking off that the Champions League final won't be coming to Lancashire.

tbf I think he plays badly every time anyone sees him play. Absolutely totally and utterly reliant on King to make him look competent. I wonder how good King would be if he had a partner who was actually half decent. Nail on head. Only ever looked decent because of King and even then, he was clearly not in the same class.

Never watched it but it seems like Dawson had a blinder for Newcastle I expected you to win, guessed 2-1 though so just as well I never stuck a tenner on it
-
I think you'll win tonight. 2-1.

You obviously never saw the penalty we concede against Chelsea this season then. From looking at your numerous "let's drive our best player out of the club" posts I can see a few of you are loons but you seriously cannot believe that we're favoured by refs!! One decision in one game and you're still feeling hard done by. Just about everything else has seemed to have been in your favour. Even just the fact that Steven Gerrard hasn't been booked for diving is enough IMO- it helps that the media don't have a field day everytime he simulates though I supppose. "Seemed to" is exactly the point though isn't it? If you watched all of our games (though there's no reason why you would) you would see just as many decisions go against us. It's the same for everyone - do you think that you've never had dodgy calls go your way at St.James'? Course you have, it's part of the game and as for the Derby I think the ref should have sent Kuyt off, but then again he was right not to give a pen when Lescott fell over in tthe last min. He was right not give a penalty? Fucks sake What's the point in posting on a football forum if you're just going to blatantly lie out of bitterness?
-
I think it's just a rumour at this point. I couldn't blame anyone for loosing their rag with that bent ref yesterday though.
-
That's not what was stated by the head of referees at the start of the season in an address to all the managers. A tackle with both feet leaving the floor and studs showing is supposed to be a straight red, contact or not, and the refs were also supposed to be paying special attention to this issue to try and stamp it out.
-
Carragher needs to realise he's not some scally on the streets in Bootle anymore. The way he conducts himself is pretty shocking.
-
I was just listening to her commentate on Wigan vs Portsmouth... awful. It was like getting an annoying kids TV presenter to commentate on the game
-
Yes Gerrard did make him change his mind. Clearly. There is a video of Clattenburg standing there with a yellow card in hand, Gerrard walks past and says something and then Clattenburg reaches for the red. And you think this tackle was nowhere near the man and not a red card offence? http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l165/efcrobmc/kuyt.jpg Really? If so, you haven't got a clue mate. Same with saying Lescott's penalty appeal was "touch and go" he was blatantly wrestled to the floor with no attempt to play the ball
-
The title of this post is quite disturbing.
-
Are you for real? Did you even watch the game? Lescott should have had two pens, not one Gerrard clearly made the ref send Hibbert off Gerrard's pen was probably outside the box anyway How did Kuyt not get sent off for the worst lunge I've seen this season? How did Carragher not get booked for constantly fouling Yakubu and continually arguing and abusing the ref? Then there is just the general bias in their favour for the whole 90 mins everytime there was a 50/50 decision to be made Clettenberg should be demoted after that woeful, biased performance yesterday. If you don't agree then you should take up another sport.
-
Well, what's the fucking point in football? That refereeing performance and the behaviour of Liverpool's players was a disgrace. And despite all that, they were still the worse team. League title challengers my arse.

He turned us down a few years ago too tbh. Birmingham are a bigger club than Bolton anyway and he's likely to get more money to spend there. that is correct. I fail to see how people can see that Birmingham haven;'t got the potential to be one of the biggest clubs in the country, it is the 2nd biggest city in the country, it has a huge supporting area, and are owned by 2 of the richest men in the UK. Underachieving, and ran extremely poorly for decades and decades, is what I would say. I'm saying no more .......... Utter bollocks. The same non-football logic that brought Wimbledon to Milton Keynes. So what if they're in the 2nd city? The fact is the fan base is small and their support of the team is generally poor. It's always been that way whether they were in the top division or the lower leagues, it's not just going to change overnight for no apparent reason after all these years. Also, whether it's Gold & Sullivan or Yeung in charge, neither boardroom set-up has the financial muscle to be one of the best sides in the country. I'm pretty sure Randy Lerner is comfortably richer than both. Then you've got the top 4 clubs, Spurs, Man City, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham who all have bigger support, bigger financial turnover and/or richer owners. To clarify. You think if Birmingham had good directors, and a top manager like Arsene Wenger and won some trophies, they would not fill a 60,000 stadium at least There is only one person talking utter bollocks here mate, and it isn't me. They are s**** because they have been run by s**** people. End of story. Not quite. What I'm saying is that first of all they are not in a position to challenge for trophies, not even close to it and won't be for the foreseeable future even with the new owner and whoever they hire when Bruce eventually goes. Secondly, even if by some miracle it does happen then no they wouldn't get 60,000 fans every week. See Chelsea for details.

You sure? How bad must your substitute keeper be if it's taken this long to get the nod? Presuming it's a fake injury for Robinson to save face, that is.

Am I the only one who thinks Bruce has done an ok job at Birmingham? Their fans have ideas above their station I'd take him over Sammy fucking Lee any day. I reckon Jewell will get the Bolton job though, seems obvious to me, him and the club would be well matched.
-
He's a bit like Mark Noble, very busy, gets stuck in and looks to get forward and grab a few goals. Probably slightly better though and can also play on the right of midfield not just the centre. I doubt that newspaper report has anything in it though, they got the price that Celtic bought him for wrong for a start.
-
I can't fathom why you'd dislike him? My opinion isn't biased. He's just an average at best player. One of my mates in work who has a season ticket in the Centenary Stand hates Riise's guts. My two cousins who go the match think he's crap as well. Aurelio is better.

Alex Ferguson has ruined him tbh
