  1. he plays 5 and 7 a side football at the pits in gateshead on weeknights. I say play, more hobbles around really and his leg looks absolutely screwed every time i see him.
  2. I like Hughton but if he has signed HBA as a player to rotate with Jonas and never intends on playing him in Nolan's position then he has gone insane.
  3. Guthrie was out the back of Aspers casino at 4am last night. Maybe thats why he is unfit.
  4. How do you arrange to do this? I have never heard of being able to play at SJP, is it on the club website or something?
  5. The obvious answers for the winner are the usual big teams. I will be putting my money on an African team though. Its between Ghana, Nigeria and Ivory Coast depending on which groups they get drawn in.
  6. I would love a properly functioning fan ownership of the club. I would definitely put 20 quid in, and if the whole thing was successful and I was happy with where it was going would always look to put more in.
  7. Thats a hell of a lot of work on your first day Thats what I like to see a hard worker, you'll get my vote when the day comes. To be fair it would only take a day to rectify some of the horrific errors that the club currently endures. Thats providing I could pre-book the crane to tear down that hideous sign. If I had time before taking office as President, I could have the staff already researched, so it would just be paperwork in terms of getting them in. Paperwork and a hell of a lot of cash to pay up the existing staff's contracts and/or pay out on their unfair dismissal claims. I didn't say anything about getting rid of current staff - just that I would hire new ones to do the job properly . Thats going to be a frustrating element for any new regime looking at an overhaul. I am assuming that the Trust has an appropriate legal team lined up/already acting for them.

  9. Hire top class staff on all levels. Every coach from under 10s upwards, every scout, every doctor, every physio, every barman, every toilet cleaner to be the best available within the budget. No jobs for old players, friends, or other incompetent wasters. I don't want to see the likes of Terry Mac slumped in his chair on the dugout, it should be done professionally with genuine coaches. A scouting system to rival Arsenal would be nice, rather than our Youtube watchers. Get the club right in terms of infrastructure first. Build it from the ground up and as long as the first 11 were competent to exist in the premiership short term I would not focus on them. I would upgrade training facilities and make first team sessions totally private, except for a fan day every month or something. Instil a level of professionalism which I have never seen at this club and we might start getting somewhere.
  10. I have been reading the NUST website and still don't really get how it works for someone who doesn't have any money. If I can not afford to pay the fees, am I then totally ignored even if I go every week? I like the idea, its very very optimistic but its better than MA or like others said faceless corporations. I am just worried that if I don't have the money then I am not included and can't vote etc. I imagine there are a hell of a lot of similar fans who do not have the money. So basically my question is how does the voting for these presidents, decisions etc apply to people without the large sums of money required to acquire a vote? Sorry if I have missed something obvious in the blurb.
  11. Oh well, I dont have 2,500 quid...or a pension...or any money for that matter. Guess its not for me then.
  12. Does anyone know the NUST grand plan to take over the club/world or is it a big secret until next week?
  13. I assume he realises that his signage about Sports Direct going around the stadium will just get vandalised? The only reason it hasn't been so far is that its too high to reach.
  14. Does anyone think it would ever reach a point where a lot of fans give up and someone starts a new club in the same way that Man Utd fans did? The only 3 ways I see this nightmare ending are: 1) Enough moderately rich locals cobble the money together to finally buy ashley out 2) Mike Ashley dies/is scared off by violent hooligans of some description 3) We all give up and go and start a fresh Standing outside the Milburn reception going "booooo" probably won't do the trick unfortunately.
  15. Great opportunity to play Ranger against a really weak defence and hopefully get him on the goals trail.

    Is it just me?

I think this is an important misconception that is a major reason we aren't happy with being top of the league. Football doesn't work like this. It's 11 against 11 and nobody has the right to beat anyone else, even the rubbish teams have physical attributes and movement that can make things difficult for us. It's interesting that we're able to simultaneously complain about how few good players we've got and also expect to win every game. I dont complain about how few good players we have. Our team is better than every other team in this division. Our players in the majority of positions are individually better than anything else in this division. What surprises me is how good fans and pundits make this league out to be. When we got relegated a lot of championship supporting friends suggested it was a tough league with loads of quality and not far away from the Premiership. They were wrong. I honestly think that the difference in our quality and the rest of the league on paper makes it like shooting fish in a barrel. Its funny to watch Ameobi waltzing through a defence, but at the same time I know deep down thats hes just not that good and thats what deflates it for me that tiny bit. It would be so much better to see it against the very best rather than the current bunch of crap we face week in week out. Our rapid demise also contributes to this. We all freshly remember European victories and being up there in the top 3 or 4. To go from that to this in a space of 5 or so years gives me that feeling of its fun but just not quite as good. You will argue against this no doubt and make some very valid points, but I just can not believe how rubbish some of the football is in this league.

    Is it just me?

As utterly shite as he is, Ameobi pisses all over this league and if/when he comes back we will get better results than just scraping wins. For me the whole thing is not quite right because its mainly hollow victories. Its quite apparent how totally crap this league is, and beating them should be such a foregone conclusion that when we do win its just like "meh", so what. The only satisfying win for me this season was Cardiff away - which was a massive win against the 2nd best team in this division.
  18. Although I would not realistically condone violence etc, I am really really surprised that some of the braindead charvers have not tried to do anything. I remember when the Glazers were taking over Man Utd there were clips on SSN of their car being attacked and stuff like that. Im not going to do it, but I would not bat an eyelid if someone else did to be perfectly honest. I feel like he just takes the piss out of us completely. It would be good if he was in the stocks at Monument, and everyone could walk past and throw rotten eggs, tomatoes etc etc at his fat face.
  19. I would be fine with it if their was a right to vote for members who can all pay a small fee or something. Under no circumstances would I support any kind of 'leader' from the group who wants to run the club or make decisions for it. On the basis that they will just eventually want more and more power for the group, I think it would just be a largely pointless distraction. I dont particularly want presidential elections every 4 years for the club that we vote on, as this does not promote stability in any way. Can i not just have one decent chairman who isnt a prick who supports one manager in building a club over a long period of time?
  20. Im no expert on fan ownership, but these idiots and the ones who want the same at Liverpool always go on about how Barcelona are run by their fans. However, the impression I get is that the member fans basically elect a president every what...4 years? And then the president runs it and does what they want. If Barca's president is still Joan Laporta, then he runs it with the board in the same way any other club does. The NUSC and liverpool fan ownership people seem to me to think that the fans would own and run it, which is unrealistic. Would never, ever work here. I really wish the NUSC would piss off. The only message I get from this "we know this, you dont"...."we have non-disclosure agreements so cant tell you this"......"wev spoken to derek llambias who expressed his opinion on players x y or z but we cant tell you that either". Its just more ITK wankers. Not exactly very representative of me the fan and season ticket holder is it.
  21. What the F****** hell is going on??? Its my understanding that Moat needed to get the money. He did that. Then he needed to get backing from Barclays and that was the only thing we were waiting for. He did that. Then why the fuck are we then sitting around waiting for something to happen? Are you seriously telling me some bidders have now decided to get off their fat lazy arses and try and do it now? are they for real?? And dont even get me starting on those moronic wastes of space NUSC. To say no one gives a shit about them or their views is an understatement.

    Jonas Gutierrez

he proved why hes better than what we have got in the rest of the midfield when we scored on the break against man u. He can carry the ball more than 5 steps and that makes him world class in comparison to the likes of duff. His lack of end product prevents him from being good enough for top 4 sort of teams, but by no means makes him a rubbish player.
  23. "As the meeting drew to a close discussions turned more and more to playing staff with the Managing Director perhaps getting a little too drawn on his opinions on certain players. However, this report not being a stitch up, we won’t embarrass him by making those comments public" You seem quite keen to make him look like a retard at various other points, so why the secrecy on this point? I would absolutely love to know his opinion on our current playing staff, much more than what his opinions on our debt or pie selling are. Something i detest about supporters groups and websites is when they try to project often valid opinions of the club but still try to see themselves as above the regular match goers like myself and some kind of 'in the know' people. This point and the immaturity of a lot of the bickering make me extremely reluctant to ever get involved in something like the NUSC.
  24. With our current set up the future is bleak - someone above mentioning fulham etc and just being midtable would be all we could get. However, I personally dont think the European places are quite as far off as some people think. Aston Villa were what? 16th or thereabouts a couple of years ago? I honestly think that from them downwards all the teams like everton us spurs etc just need a spark to make them stand out from the rest of the shite. The positions in the top half are there for the taking and just waiting for someone to step up and take them.
  25. How about "retarded geordies out" as a banner?
