Paperwork and a hell of a lot of cash to pay up the existing staff's contracts and/or pay out on their unfair dismissal claims. I didn't say anything about getting rid of current staff - just that I would hire new ones to do the job properly . Thats going to be a frustrating element for any new regime looking at an overhaul. I am assuming that the Trust has an appropriate legal team lined up/already acting for them.

Hire top class staff on all levels. Every coach from under 10s upwards, every scout, every doctor, every physio, every barman, every toilet cleaner to be the best available within the budget. No jobs for old players, friends, or other incompetent wasters. I don't want to see the likes of Terry Mac slumped in his chair on the dugout, it should be done professionally with genuine coaches. A scouting system to rival Arsenal would be nice, rather than our Youtube watchers. Get the club right in terms of infrastructure first. Build it from the ground up and as long as the first 11 were competent to exist in the premiership short term I would not focus on them. I would upgrade training facilities and make first team sessions totally private, except for a fan day every month or something. Instil a level of professionalism which I have never seen at this club and we might start getting somewhere.

I have been reading the NUST website and still don't really get how it works for someone who doesn't have any money. If I can not afford to pay the fees, am I then totally ignored even if I go every week? I like the idea, its very very optimistic but its better than MA or like others said faceless corporations. I am just worried that if I don't have the money then I am not included and can't vote etc. I imagine there are a hell of a lot of similar fans who do not have the money. So basically my question is how does the voting for these presidents, decisions etc apply to people without the large sums of money required to acquire a vote? Sorry if I have missed something obvious in the blurb.

Does anyone think it would ever reach a point where a lot of fans give up and someone starts a new club in the same way that Man Utd fans did? The only 3 ways I see this nightmare ending are: 1) Enough moderately rich locals cobble the money together to finally buy ashley out 2) Mike Ashley dies/is scared off by violent hooligans of some description 3) We all give up and go and start a fresh Standing outside the Milburn reception going "booooo" probably won't do the trick unfortunately.

I think this is an important misconception that is a major reason we aren't happy with being top of the league. Football doesn't work like this. It's 11 against 11 and nobody has the right to beat anyone else, even the rubbish teams have physical attributes and movement that can make things difficult for us. It's interesting that we're able to simultaneously complain about how few good players we've got and also expect to win every game. I dont complain about how few good players we have. Our team is better than every other team in this division. Our players in the majority of positions are individually better than anything else in this division. What surprises me is how good fans and pundits make this league out to be. When we got relegated a lot of championship supporting friends suggested it was a tough league with loads of quality and not far away from the Premiership. They were wrong. I honestly think that the difference in our quality and the rest of the league on paper makes it like shooting fish in a barrel. Its funny to watch Ameobi waltzing through a defence, but at the same time I know deep down thats hes just not that good and thats what deflates it for me that tiny bit. It would be so much better to see it against the very best rather than the current bunch of crap we face week in week out. Our rapid demise also contributes to this. We all freshly remember European victories and being up there in the top 3 or 4. To go from that to this in a space of 5 or so years gives me that feeling of its fun but just not quite as good. You will argue against this no doubt and make some very valid points, but I just can not believe how rubbish some of the football is in this league.

As utterly shite as he is, Ameobi pisses all over this league and if/when he comes back we will get better results than just scraping wins. I would be fine with it if their was a right to vote for members who can all pay a small fee or something. Under no circumstances would I support any kind of 'leader' from the group who wants to run the club or make decisions for it. Im no expert on fan ownership, but these idiots and the ones who want the same at Liverpool always go on about how Barcelona are run by their fans. However, the impression I get is that the member fans basically elect a president every what...4 years? And then the president runs it and does what they want. If Barca's president is still Joan Laporta, then he runs it with the board in the same way any other club does. The NUSC and liverpool fan ownership people seem to me to think that the fans would own and run it, which is unrealistic. Would never, ever work here. I really wish the NUSC would piss off.
