As opposed to putting 100% faith in Redknapp's version of events?
  2. I was there in the middle of the Gallowgate and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a match. The .com comments say it all really. Luton were a horrible bunch of twats, the away trip there was always one of the worst of the season, cos we always seemed to get beat. The miner's strike was still a recent memory and teams like Luton seemed to be the epitome of Thacherism. It really was US against THEM, especially after their performance in the away game earlier in the season. Mind you, I remember us passing the ball around for a lot longer before Kenny sat on the ball, maybes I'm just losing it in me old age. Ditto for me. I was in the Leazes yelling abuse at that fat arsehole Forster. Luton were a set of wankers at that time aswell- apart from their pisstaking earlier on that season. They had the thatcherite chairman who wanted to ban all away fans from their ground, even tho they had the extra advantage of playing on a plastic pitch. Happy days indeed.
  3. thing is, it's a good move to get the young american players with potential OUT of the US and into the better levels of competition in england before they atrophy in the weaker US leagues. Thing is you'd be far better off applying that to Italy, Spain, Holland, Brazil and Argentina before the US.
  4. The US is such a hotbed of football talent this move will silence all those Wise doubters
  5. I know. I mean direct quotes from Ashley mean the journalist definitely made it up Silly me. How dare I question that beacon of truth the NOTW. News of the World or Washington Post, at the end of the day quotes are quotes tbh. If they aren't true, action is taken. No action has been taken. End of, really. No action has been taken because it's Easter Sunday ffs I'm talking about the original article man And I'm talking about the NOTW and simplistic people who believe every word in it. BTW someone has written gullible on your ceiling, have a look I'm not saying I believe every word of the NOTW. I'm simply stating I believe the article on post 1 of this thread to be true because they're direct quotes from Ashley. Aaah that's lovely. I personally wouldn't believe the date or the cover price on an Murdoch publication.

  9. 12 pages from a NOTW article. Those cockney journos must be pissing themselves at how gullible we are.
  10. Easter Island Head said: Wiki said on SBR's first full season: You are not in the same league as SBR you useless big faced twat do not flatter yourself by thinking you are. We have dished out far worse treatment to far more capable managers than this buffoon. Low point? - far from it.
  11. In their report on the wolves game under SBR. They spent the remaining part of SBR' managership sniping at him and generally leading the cheerleading to get him out. Nice one lads I hope your happy with the last 5 years but lay off the hypocrisy of other fans expressing their views eh? POT KETTLE BLACK. Shameful. Which match is that from? Reads like it's from the last game....when the season is over...when they still invite people to mull over the bones. Isn't the widely held view that they were spot on too? That Robson should have went at the end of that season, hanging on made things worse....and led us to rush Souness through the door. It's not my view like, I think the couple of odd thousand that stayed to applaud that team were spot on and the majority who f***** off for an early pint should be ashamed of themselves. But there's not many that agree as far as I can tell. I think that was the problem at the time. The 'widely held view' was expressed then by those dickheads who fucked off early/booed because we had merely finished 5th. .com we far from shy in expressing their opinions on SBR at the time but now its time for everyone else on the net to STFU.

  13. You don't f****** say. Another pointless anti-Owen post. Nice one. Sorry did you think Owen was the epitome of calm in front of goal today? But he wasn't criticising the other players saying "All those dickheads are nervous and i'm not". Of course he is probably too What idiots we have in this city I'd rather he kept his trap shut and let his football do the talking. Sorry for pointing out the obvious but its about time this $17 million /100K+ a week striker started to justify the money invested in him. I wonder are we at panic stations now in the dressing room? Forget Owen let Martins start every game for me from now on. As Dave says Martins and Ameobi would both be absolutely slaughtered for missing those chances today but because its Michael we can't criticise him can we? BTW do you think Owen will hang around to play a season of championship football for us if the worst comes to the worst?

  15. "There is nervousness throughout the side." You included you fucking midget.
  16. sicsfingeredmong how can you say this: And then say: Slight contradiction there, shirley? PS I'll ignore the way you chose only to deal with the case of one of the three recent managers appointed after the transfer window closed.
  17. I think you are being a bit harsh on Ashley there - at least Keegan was appointed DURING the transfer window. Unlike Souness appointed 5 days after the transfer window closed. Unlike Roeder appointed 2 days after the transfer window closed. And unlike Sir Bobby who was appointed about a week after the transfer window closed.
  18. Thanks but no thanks I'll stick to supporting Newcastle if it's alright with you. Hebburn FC are shite.
  19. So, you're favourite singer must be Sting then. And you class Mr. Bean way above Monty Phyton, right?!?! Thats just ridicolous... Eric Idle was born in South Shields
  20. That prick Osbourne doesn't half remind me of Piers Fletcher-Dervish from the new statesman. Fast forward to 5 mins in this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tY3HUucrTOg&feature=related And compare that to this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rUR9URYEaJg&feature=related Not only is he similarly a chinless inbred fuckstick he sounds exactly the same as him. FWIW Northern Rock was doing fine when it was a plain old building society. Then along came Mr Osbourne's lot with this excellent idea of demutualising building societies so the present and not the historic shareholders would get the extra cash generated. Chasing the extra profits demanded by being privatised is whats got them in this mess in the first place. That coupled with spectacularly bad management.
  21. ^ Gazza's came close to getting a second vs the germans in euro 96 - but not as close as Lineker did to getting his second vs the Argies in 86. Without directly linking to a youtube clip its 2.40 on part 10/10 of the match. Even today I still don't understand how it stayed out.
