I saw Newcastle 5 Man United 0 mugs on sale the day after THAT game. It's called a marketing opportunity, don't let it ruin your day
-
So why was Ronaldo given so much s*** at every Premier League ground Man U played at the season after that international then? Bollocks man... How is it bollocks? he did, he got Rooney sent off and rightly got s*** at every ground in the Country well apart from Old Trafford. But no fker tried to get onto the pitch to get to him. aye, shut up scotsman Aye thats a great comeback... So why was Ronaldo given so much shit at every Premier League ground Man U played at the season after that international then?

Choose finishing above Newcastle in the top division of football a whole 4 times in 40 years As for the mackems let them have their day in the sun its not like they come along any more regularly than once a generation.
-
No The Shearer saga overran by a good few seasons when he was playing, let him continue as a pundit on MOTD
-
The 28 years has nothing to do with it as they invade the pitch every time they score against us down there! Exactly. If they invade the pitch when they equalise, how would you think they'd react with an actual win? And they didn't invade the pitch when Cateron or whatever his name was scored first for them in a 1-1 draw about 8 years ago Edit - and 28 years has everything to do with it.
-
I thought it was a very well struck free kick. I have seen better ones in a tyne wear derby tho
-
Coin throwing is definatley unacceptable. As for the pitch invasion, what did you expect them to do after 28 years without a win? A polite ripple of applause at the final whistle?

Fat Fred said: The reason we missed out on Rooney was Fred's decision to manoever his bulky frame in front of a Sky sports camera and tell the whole world Everton could have £20 million in cash for him. Perhaps if he'd been more discrete we might (might) just have landed him. As it was his public boasting did no more than trigger a bidding war with Man U. Perhaps Fat Fred should have done less, rather than more to get Rooney.

Yes then everything will be wonderful

I wonder where she'd be without Gazza. Probably living in a council flat like most unmarried single mothers. I can't see her becoming a millionairess without him. All that wealth she got from him yet she refused to move to Scotland when he played for Rangers.

Did anyone seriously think that this wouldn't end with Keegan walking away again when he came back?
-
I was only joking about Toons Taylor. But there is a more serious issue that our 'local' club is becoming increasingly distant from the fans who have supported it for years. That and the fact I am consumed by anti-americanism
-
Toon's Taylor should be banned for starting a thread that quotes the value of our club in a foreign currency.

I reckon Hitler can have Dennis Wise in a fight.
-
The club's statement listing their 'facts' contradicted their earlier public statements and were issued in order to blame Keegan. issued in response to keegans earlier "let the manager manage" line as issued on his behalf by the LMA. So you agree with me that the statements issued were not "without blame for anyone" Thanks in advance

While Ashley is undoubtedly a superb businessman for the way he's earned his millions/billions, he was very amateurish when it came to us. Why pay Wise a salary for a job Keegan was willing to do?
-
Exactly. The squads wages for yesterday was probably more than £1 million for 90 mins and the reason these 'professionals' lost is because a piece of cloth with some writing on it was displayed for a couple of minutes during the game. Some people need to take their head for a shite and not forget to flush the chain afterwards

Robster wrote: What do you mean by 'might'? What actions has Wise made that would give you such optimism? He has always struck me as a nasty devious little shit, I really can't think how anyone could have a different opinion of him. PS Imagine Wise having to 'have a word' with Barton about his behaviour with his track record?

It's not about 'offending' some t*** from the other end of the country, it's about fuelling the stereotypical negative image that's been hung on the NE since the days of yore. Personally, I'm proud to be from the North East and think we've got some fantastic things going for us as a region; however, the positives that fellow geordies have worked hard to achieve, are often reduced/dismissed by the actions of a few stereotypical muppets desperate to get onto telly - why do you think we only ever see the "mongs" on SSN? Because you are empty headed enough to actually watch SSN?
-
Why is everyone being so 'PC' in case we offend some twats at the other end of the country? Cockneys have been shafting this region since the year dot.

Sergei Rebrov launches repulsive racist rant
2sheds replied to The College Dropout's topic in Football
Considering they mention Pavlyuchenko's name in the quotes I don't think it is very old at all. This is the same Rebrov who said this: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/archive/england/news/2001/0717/20010717thfcrebrov.html In 2001, fuck me the years are flying by -
The Death Match: Dynamo Kiev Vs The Nazis (1942)
2sheds replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Nice story but this bit doesn't sound right: Erich Koch ran the Reichskommissariat Ukraine for the nazis and organising football matches to 'placate' the local was not what he was into. He preferred to use bullets and starvation followed by deportation as his chosen methods. There's also this: http://www.infoukes.com/history/ww2/page-20.html
