I think Spain would have picked Germany's defence apart in much the same way Italy did last night. Italy have already shown in the group stage that they're more than capable of giving Spain a game.

As I've said earlier, this has IMO been the most dissapointing EC/WC in my life (since I can remember paying attention - 96). Well dissapointed, felt like a chore watching most games. The last world cup was far worse. So was the previous Euro tournament tbh.

I disagree. People watch football to be entertained and if they, like me, don't find the way Spain play entertaining then it is boring. When I watch a game I want to see skill, aggression, physicality and lots of goal scoring opportunities - that, to me, is what makes a game exciting. I respect the way Spain play and I obviously appreciate that they are technically superior to the vast majority of teams but do I find them exciting to watch? No. I disagree, I think they're pretty boring to watch overall, I certainly wouldn't say I find them exciting.

I think it's just more of a psychological thing than anything technical tbh. Anybody (especially a professional footballer) can hammer home penalties from 12 yards when there's no pressure, we buckle because as a country it's become ingrained in our mindset that "we just lose" when it comes to penalties. The Germans are the opposite.
