That doesn't make sense from their point of view, I don't understand how they'd expect to make a profit from doing that. If anyone's watched the Asian coverage of games then they'll have seen ads for the Profitable Group, they basically seem to make money by flogging land in the UK to people as an investment opportunity, not sure how well that business model will be holding up at the moment, so unless they've got their fingers in other pies then I'm a bit sceptical about whether they'd have the finance to make us a success. On that basis alone, it sounds like the proverbial house of cards. What was bugging me earlier in the day when I heard about this supporters' trust idea being mooted was that it could just be an almightly Farepak style disaster waiting to happen.

That just sounds so much like an abused housewife it's disturbing...but then, that's what we've been reduced to over the past few years.

I know I've been agitating for that sort of thing to happen, so I can't explain why all of a sudden I feel suspicious of this part of the proposal...and I'm wondering what's really behind such a propossal, should it actually come to pass... Too much uncertainty to know how to feel about next season just yet, once the situation regarding ownership is resolved and we know who our manager is going to be, the resources he will have available to rebuild a team worthy of challenging for promotion etc...then it will be possible to have a much clearer sense of how positive and optimistic one can be about next season. Because more people would read it, it would be enjoyable. I'm going to do more (bitesize) podcasts this summer when I'm not as busy I reckon, with better guests than Nixon though. By default, everything that happens at this club is funny to some extent these days, it stopped being a serious club about 9 months ago. 9 months? Try 9 years, more like.

In previous years, we had a stickied daily digest of what's been happening at the club today - especially useful during the takeover and the transfer season...was wondering if there's any prospect of something similar being run this year? Only needs to have a few bullet points, updated once daily, of anything major that's definitely happened/happening - and would be a major benefit to folks who haven't got time to trawl through pages upon pages of speculation and rumination. So...I don't suppose there's any chance of it making a return, is there?

Yes I agree totally!. I hope to god we never see Kinnear again. Totally agree but I think we are going to see him again at some point. I just have a little feeling that Shearer is going to be our manager for next season, if we go down. We shall see...
