  1. Actually, we don't know that what the Sun says is crap, anymore than we know the obverse is true. I wouldn't be surprised if there actually was a reckoning of some kind today - Keegan had no right to be running the club down in public after the Chelsea match - all that stuff about never being able to break into the top 4, and I don't even buy the apologists' viewpoint that it's all been some elaborate pre-transfer season ploy to make sure Newcastle aren't ripped off, either. I think the stuff in the Sun's all quite plausible, even if it is entirely speculative.
  2. You would think that more of our fans would have learned to see through the media reaction by now. It's a good job we're just a small club, I hate to think of the column inches we'd get if we weren't. The most important week of the football year with so much at stake and we've been headlines over a nothing story. Because the media would love it, just love it if we were to rise like a phoenix from the flames and actually mount a decent challenge for the title, so they could turn on us in the last few weeks and rip KK apart.
  3. It's otherwise known as constructive dismissal though, surely? So Sven will be able to walk now and claim compensation. That's just fucking stupidity.
  4. Oh, well. That's just charming.
  5. Can't be. I'm not Dutch, and I hate Arsenal as well, so it doesn't work for me. Others aren't right-footed so it won't work for them. It has to be van Persie, but it's not, it's just...all...so...confusing...and...my...head...hurts...
  6. I think Chelsea have it in the bag now.
  7. Isn't that just down to the ad director's artistic licence though?
  8. It's Robin van Persie, innit like?!?
  9. In fairness to Sven, they never got a chance to see what Bojinov could do - as Mr Gallagher highlighted himself. Erm, he's still a City player. Erm, I know, Nerdlinger.

  11. Legend. Anyone else want to see a Celebrity Deathmatch between Shinawatra and Noel Gallagher? Would be ace.

Well well well...who's been a naughty boy then? Aiden Mcgeady in latest "sounds like ideal stock for Newcastle" shocker: Link - Brawl McGeady
  13. You've been watching the Deer Hunter again, haven't you...
  14. Money talks. I'm pretty sure Thaksin will find someone of comparable quality, actually.
  15. http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200705/r143860_500428.jpg I would piss my pants laughing if they appointed Big Sam. I would furthermore piss your pants as well if Big Sam then went on to take them to Premiership-winning glory. That would just be so bitter-sweet.
  16. Be interesting to see who Thaksin's got lined up as a replacement...now, who would you normally look to replace Sven with? http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/11_03/wallyDM2111_468x819.jpg
  17. It won't come out if Sven wants his contract paid up. Do you know something I don't? Standard procedure. Get your contract paid up, keep your mouth shut. But if he digs his heels in and forces Shinawatra to sack him, surely he'll get his contract paid and he can say what he wants? There's usually still clauses in there. I'm sure Shinawatra's people in particular would have been well on top of that kind of thing from day one. The whole reason he bought the club was for PR reasons so he won't want some famous football coach slagging him off in the tabloids for being a lunatic. That's a fair point and I hadn't considered that tbh. This might get as messy and the farce at Anfield... To misquote our great leader: "I would love it!!! Just love it!"
  18. Ah, so they're not a bunch of slow-witted, fickle, recalcitrant apes then?
  19. I presume this boils down to last weekend's result and the fact that Thaksin is a jumped up twat? Sven's better off out if you ask me - he'll land a good job elsewhere, no doubt.
