  1. I'd like to see us buy a genuine top quality player as a statement. Preferably a creative/flair player as we're severely lacking in someone who sees the game differently. Would love us to sign a left back capable of doing something in the final third too. Whilst I've not been blown away by the initial showings of Gayle, I'm not massively concerned with the forwards and think that if we can sort the midfield out, we should have no problems in scoring goals. Midfield just isn't functioning at all at the moment. Hardly a surprise when there are so many average players to pick from, especially in the middle.
  2. Good job nobody is saying that. They did after Fulham and plenty of people went along with it when it was very clearly cliched Shite tbqh. That was the first game. This isn't, and it isn't acceptable. You're arguing against no one. Be nice if the people who bought it actually admitted it was a load of old gash that, if trotted out by SMc and Colo they'd have been slated. A total nonsense and that's been proven this week. Awful excuse tbh.

  4. Just a 'wake up call' tbh. Same if we get turned over again next game and the one after that. No big issues here, just wake up calls. Fucking load of shite.
  5. Are they allowed to call this result another 'wake up call' or has that shit excuse been exhausted?
  6. He's a good little player. A bit Bellamy-esque IMHO.
  7. Are the Mirror still a media partner btw?
  8. Leggy attacking midfielder. He's looked very good when I watched them last season.
  9. Why did he get binned in the first place?
  10. This stood out to me too. I'll bet he's fucking livid this weekend btw. He'll be watching that back all weekend, by Monday, he'll be heading to the training ground with a machete ready to chop Jacks Ginger Bollocks off.
  11. Don't disagree with this but I still don't think I'd have played him over Mbemba.
  12. They're the clear favourites to go up and virtually every person who comments on us are saying that we're miles better than the other teams in the league, I think the players have believed the hype and will now know they have to work harder. Then you'd question the prep because Rafa has been saying all summer how competitive the league is.
  13. I suppose they're waking up to the mistakes you have pointed out? It was no different at Southampton away at the end of last season but I didn't see anyone calling that a 'wake up call'.
  14. I think last night being described as a wake up call is a fair comment, some of out players looked as if they just had to turn up and they would go home with the points. But why though? Over half of them have played at that level before. It's surely not a shock that it's vaguely competitive?
  15. If Mbemba is fully fit, I can't see why this guy started over him.
  16. Looked a class above the rest of the dross he was surrounded by tbqh.
  17. Can't get over this 'Wake up call' bollocks from JL and Rafa tbqh. Complete football cliche shite. A fucking wake up call? It's the first game in a league where half the fucking team have played before, some of them have played more at that level than any other. A 'wake up call' might be Hanley or someone getting skinned in the premiership. A wake up call might be when the standard is such a shock. Call it what it was, Rafa got it wrong, the application was wrong and the set pieces were a complete joke. Fucking Wake up call. What are they waking up to? Hanley, Lascelles, Colback, Hayden, Gayle, Ritchie have played that level of football before FFS.
  18. It's a little irritating that they need a kick up the arse after the first game of a new season in which everyone has gone on and on about how we're a big scalp and how it's going to be physical etc etc. Doesn't bode well for how this group has listened and prepared (or how Rafa prepared them). Totally agree with this. A kick up the arse after game week 1? Really?!?! 1st game of the season after relegation, 7000 plus supporters there and they need a kick up the arse - what utter shit!!!!! Joke tbqh.

  20. We really need a specialist left back. Have said so for ages.
  21. True Story. I had my last one for years and years. Moussa's miserable mush too good an opportunity. His expression is a pretty good reflection of mine when watching him power up the wing only to pump the ball thirty yards the wrong side of a forward or trip over his own feet. Real Mafuckingdrid
  22. Needs cropping and zooming. Here ye go. Looks even funnier as an avi, tbf http://i.imgur.com/DJ7iubQ.jpg  The face you make when you realise Real Madrid were never really interested. I also now have the same expression due to you nicking my AV http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/avs/avatar_3277_1470344569.png I don't view with AV's. Angry Sissoko judges you! http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/avs/avatar_3277_1470344569.png
