The difference between Rafa, staying here to sort his plans and personnel for next season, and Pardew who would be mincing around the nightclubs of Puerto Banus with his gang of arseholes is unreal.
We've struck gold here.
How exactly is playing for Wales going to push him on?
He's played a handful of games over the last few years. I'd suggest he'd be better spending the international breaks with Rafa/the NUFC coaching team if we're really worried about him 'pushing on'.
.
If he doesn't have to raise funds (or additional funds) then you'd think it'd be obvious to pump the ginge.
There's also some talk of him starting from the weakest link in terms of replacements so I guess Shelvey would be some way down the line if that's accurate.
I do think he kind of hinders the way we play though and think Rafa may see him as a limiting factor in our effectiveness.
Maybe a few seasons ago but not now, especially as he'll be looking to be playing every week. Hope we persist with Yedlin.
Agreed - I like Yedlin and think Rafa could easily iron out his flaws.
Can't see anyone coming in for him at the price we'd want, no. Unless West Ham...
I have a hunch Rafa might want a more traditional set up in the middle and perhaps he's not 100% convinced of Shelvey after he failed to turn up last time around in the Premiership.
Wouldn't be at all surprised if Rafa culled him.
We're horrendous against Fulham man, this is good news.
I don't care, Fulham are more likeable club and a million times better away trip.
.
Reading's a fucking nightmare of a place.
