  1. We'll keep it tight for 70 minutes, double sub Trippier for Krafth and Wood for Wilson. Wilson get played through by Bruno 85th minute and gets fouled right outside of City's box. Trippier curls in his third goal of the season and we win 1-0.
  2. Not particularly hard imagining not loving the man. Good for him though.
  3. Goes well together with Kurt "Animal Abuse" Zouma. No wonder Moyes didn't give a shit and played him at first opportunity straight after that incident.

If they need to fill a home grown quota with someone that will never play anyway, can't they give the spot and wages away to one lucky local fan as part of a lottery or something?
  5. Hope to see him getting a fair bit of time in our last two games against Arsenal and Burnley. Man City I assume is too early(?) if he had his first training session day before Liverpool after being out since December.
  6. A bit harsh to hound him out, or even discipline him imo I just want him to apologise and then everyone can move on.
  7. The closest I could find was this extract from Dyers book: Not putting himself above the team like ASM have done, and he was right as well, as opposed to ASM. Other than that it was the post-match incident with that journalist and a warning that he may have to leave if he doesn't get more game time. Any particular examples? Feel like it should be easy to find by googling it but haven't been able to find anything myself except a rumour with no direct quotes about him lashing out at team mates for not passing to him while on loan at Portsmouth. Edit: Didn't see your follow up before posting this. Fair enough, although I don't think either of those quotes are as bad as the one ASM has seemingly made.
  8. We did? I can only remember him starting talk about a potential exit towards the end under Souness when he wasn't getting any game time. Nothing about him talking down his own team mates.

Yeah just ignore that most top teams in the world primarily signs younger players, and call it the "Ashley transfer policy" to make your argument look better We have one of the oldest squads in the league. I don't think we need much more experience.
  10. Sure, but he still has years of experience already. It's why he wants to leave Arsenal, because now he needs to play regularly, not sit on our bench as "one for the future" when he's close to his mid-20's which is normally when strikers start their peaks.
  11. Nkunku & Scamacca up top next season?
  12. He should come out and publicly apologise for that comment.
  13. Most spanish looking dude on the field award goes to Vallejo

If he believed in what we were doing, and himself to offer us something to stay up then why not. Trippier believed. Bruno believed. For all we know, Man Utd could have accepted a bid for him, for him to reject it in favor of a loan. Not that I really care about that, I'm more worried that he's a very average player that won't offer much more than say Almiron is doing now, being desired for a form he had for 10-odd games 1 year ago, and has shown nothing else of particular note the remaining 10-odd years he's been playing for Man Utd. There must be equally "sensible" signings out there for players who will offer more than this guy. It's like Everton fans gagging for them to sign Longstaff on account of his short spell under Rafa. He's just as much of a risk as any foreign player we could be looking at in that position. Let's go for an exciting signing with potential rather than this boring guy.

They were also significantly younger with higher potential.

Ugh, really hope this one doesn't go through. Nothing player pushing 30 on massive wages stepping down looking for his last big pay day. What could possibly go wrong.
  17. Nketiah turns 23 in under a month. Shouldn't be considered a promising player for the future by then. This is Nketiahs 5th season playing in the premier league.
  18. In the top two recommendations
  19. Absolutely. If he manage to maintain his goals per game in the PL, even for Man City, that would be an achievement and indicate he is still developing as a player. Depends how you define flop I guess. If you expect him to come in and score 30 league goals every season, he could very likely flop. If you expect him to get 20+ league goals I think he'll deliver. He has the potential to exceed expectations and score 30+ as well imo.
  20. Haaland will not flop, despite not being suited to Man Citys style of play. Guy has delivered everywhere he's been and made it look easy. Only way he fails is if injuries ruins his explosive pace.
  21. The season before Abramovich came in where they ended 4th, they had only brought in two players, both on a free transfer. There were no funds to add to the squad, similar to our Lee Bowyer summer. They would most likely have had to sell players to stay afloat and with it drop down the table.
