Will never criticize a player for leaving in order to play regularly, and wish more of our less gifted players would take a page out of his book. The only reason he came here in the first place was because he didn't get as much game time at Dortmund as he wanted, so it's quite naive to expect him to stay here under the same conditions. He has experience in the league so he knows what to expect, he still knows the area and some of the players and staff that are still here, so if he wanted to come back and we are interested, I'd view him as less of a risk than bringing in someone completely new.

Don't think homesickness was a big part of why he wanted to leave in the first place. It was obviously because of not getting a sniff of game time due to Shelvey and Diame being in fantastic form. However, even if he was homesick back then, he's obviously more mature now.

Generally agree, but pelanties are a skill that can be mastered even if you don't have the best technique. Post-Shearer there's not a player in any of our teams I'd want to take penalties ahead of Shola. He was absolutely clinical, got them right past the root of the post into the side netting with power consistently. Keepers didn't have a chance even if they guessed the right corner. Don't think he missed a penalty for us?

For all his limitations, we'd be 4 points shorter without his 2 goals. If we go on a poor run for the rest of the season those 2 goals could prove to be worth the £25m we paid for him alone. I don't think we'd be better off if we played Gayle (if he had managed to stay fit for the same number of minutes Wood has played, which I doubt) instead.

He was one of the fastest players recorded yesterday. Can't remember exact numbers but they showed the 3 fastest players after Krafth had to catch up with the wolves winger and Bruno was second place with 30.X km/hr above ASM by 0.2 or so seconds and 0.2 or 0.3 behind Krafth. He was everywhere yesterday, and I didn't get the feeling he was done when subbed either so not worried one bit about his pace or stamina.
