  1. Same game plan at home against Latvia and away against Holland, both must win matches for the biggest tournament in these players lives. Solbakken is such a coward we might just as well have stuck with Lagerbäck.... Wish we'd just go for it and get a manager who wants to press and attack instead of these utter fossils always playing safety first just because we had some success with it 20+ years ago. We may not be more successful than we are now, but at least it would be more enjoyable to watch.
  2. Not scoring and it's all over as well. They left it too late against Latvia on saturday. Doing the same now.
  3. Watching Norway against Holland is like watching Newcastle against Brighton. Must win game, and set up for a draw or narrow loss. What a joke.

    Fabian Schär

Only going by an online match report it seems to have been a back 4.
  5. Fukcing agony watching that match. Left it too late to put the pressure on. Latvia happy with a draw and must have wasted like 20 minutes of the match on goal kicks, free kicks, throw ins and injuries. Assuming Holland wins against Montenegro this evening we'll need two miracles in the next round on Tuesday just to get to the play offs.
  6. From a commercial point of view they'd be crazy to do that. The only reason Ashley did it was to guarantee predictable income and people in the stands without having to show any ambition.
  7. Based on what exactly? Have I missed something key here besides a few clips of him smiling during Howe's first training session?
  8. As a night owl I agree. Struggling to get up at the early hours isn't necessarily due to laziness. Give everyone the best chance possible to be on time, and judge them on actually being on time and putting in the effort on the training field.
  9. Great news, will be interesting to learn how the day to day changes, and how he sets up the team. I can tolerate 1/4, maybe even 2/4, but if I see Krafth, Ritchie, Clarke & Shelvey all starting next match the claws will be out immediately, but I'm prepared to give him time regardless.
  10. If they get him, I hope he is able to bring a few of the Glimt players with him so the team can more easily adapt to his philosophy. I love watching their left back Fredrik André Bjørkan play, and think he has the pace, strength and stamina combined with decent technique to really excel in this league. Just pray he doesn't do a Solskjær. Would be so fun to see a team in the PL play like Glimt.

    Transfer rumours

If we can get a charismatic and mean cunt with bags of energy and a bit of technique in at CM I reckon one signing alone could galvanise the team enough to drag us out of the relegation zone. Tall ask to find the next Vieira/Keane though, so most likely we'll need to add as a minimum a new left back and striker as well before I would feel confident that the team is good enough to stay up. I don't think we need that many players in January as long as we have a semi competent manager who can teach the squad how to press as a unit, and work on how to retain possession when opposition team commits 2-3 players to press our ball carrier.
  12. Their squad sucks and he is setting them up to get more out of it than you'd expect. The only players from the team that won against Villa this week I'd have here is Ward-Prowse and the full backs.
  13. Impossible to rank. The quality of managers this year is the best I can remember. I mean, look at OP having to put Viera at 17th Maybe not that far out considering he is fairly inexperienced, but sure seems harsh considering how well they are doing.
  14. I was at the point of feeling pity for Moyes at the end of his stint at Sunderland via Man Utd and Sociedad so am happy for him now even though I don't care much for West Ham. From what he achieved with Everton and now doing with West Ham shows that with the right backing and squad composition (feel the Everton & West Ham squads are quite comparable?) he can consistently get good results.
  15. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMHHHH Fucking love listening to the Norwegian Liverpool supporting commentator trying to sound objective when West Ham scores.
  16. Squad isn't young, and players definitely doesn't seem hungry. Ritchie will make a fine lower PL standard PFM in a few years.
  17. Not really surprising considering that the players had a resting heart rate throughout the entire first half.
  18. Getting outplayed and out fought by 10 men & out field player in opposition goal
  19. Sanchez saved Brighton a point with that. Sucks for us. Correct decision thanks to VAR.
  20. Feel it's more due to Brighton allowing us more time on the ball than in the first half than us playing better, but we undeniably do look better this half regardless of whos "fault" it is
  21. Yup..not sure it's because I've watched more football since the takeover or that I simply care now, but seems to be even more of this post-Bruce. Infuriating.
  22. The shirt pull was why Trossard lost his footing after the initial contact. Edit: Not to say Trossard didn't make the best out of the situation, but I can see why it was given. Without the shirt pull it would probably not have been given.
