Hope it's just the flu or some passing illness related thing rather than an injury.

Was about to write something about the "trifecta on the right" as well. They are all functional players, but neither of them are very good ball players so when they all play together it's usually a bit embarrasing.

At least he wouldn't be able to score or assist against us.
-
Good visualitsation of how he grew into the game. First 30 minutes he was absolutely woeful.
-
He can drop deeper and be more involved in general play while also getting into goalscoring positions. The two are not exclusive....
-
Agreed. I think getting Isak more involved in general play has been just as much an individual issue on Isaks behalf as it has been for how Howe sets us up. I just refuse to think Howe has been instructing him to only play on the shoulder of the defenders.

Probably yeah. Key thing for me was that he managed to get himself more involved in the build up. Great passes to play through Hall and Murphy most notably, but rarely seen him have the ball as much in general as he had yesterday.
-
Didn't see that the ball was deflected for the first goal until after the game, so in retrospect can't really blame him for that. He was really shaky after their first goal though. Didn't feel like he had any confidence for the remainder of the game. The pass to Livramento at the end of the first half though. He's done that once before this season and I just laugh at how uncharacteristic it is when he does it His distribution was really good in general yesterday.

Could see Fulham or West Ham being interested in him. Don't think Villa, Bournemouth or Brentford (unless they sell one of or don't think its worthwhile to continue betting on Schade and Lewis-Potter to come good) would be interested or needing him. That being said, I want us to have a squad with competition for places, so ideally he'll stay here.

That's my feeling too. Only thing I can think of is that the ref might have been thinking it was us that took so long to take the free kick prior, so it was not fair to extend the OT on our behalf....?

Brentford has been good at home this season, but they haven't really faced any top teams at home either. They've played Palace, Southampton, Leyton Orient, West Ham, Wolves, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Bournemouth and Leicester. The real test as many has already said is how we once again now have a chance to replicate our good performance against a team that may not motivate the players as much as the top teams. I don't expect a win necessarily, as Brentford are obviously really good at home despite not facing top teams, but I'd like to see the same desire/commitment/effort from the players here as against Liverpool.

Has there been any media discussion around the decision to end the game in the middle of our counter? They didn't discuss it at all post game in the Norwegian studio. Just wondering if its only us that are raging about it, perhaps wrongly, since nobody else seems to talk about it
-
Pretty good odds Barnes wouldn't have been able to get into those positions in the first place.
-
Wind made it look worse tbf.
-
That actually calmed me down a bit Of course we would have.
-
hahahahah ref was sweating to call the game there

Would'nt mind Dubravka on now. Pope seems completely out of it.
-
Just glue Pope to one of the posts so he's unable to let one in on the near side. Burn can block rest of the goal.

He's physically incapable of playing Hall on the overlap Kind of embarrasing considering how good Hall is at crossing the ball.
-
End Van Dijks career someone.
-
Thank you Isak! Got me rock hard that one
-
Don't understand why we can't just rifle shots at goal more. Murphy's attempt has been our best this half. All other chances has been De Jong weak as piss specials.
-
Halls botched but ambitious attempts covering over for the useless performance by Bruno so far.
