surely not? I hate seeing him blob and box around for us these days, but for a season and then some he was easily the best keeper we've had since Given.
-
It's obviously not true, but we would have signed significantly less players from abroad if Eddie got his top priorities in, so it is a valid concern imo.

6 shots on target in total over 3 games. All thanks to Pope.
-
Impossible to quantify. I don't think Pope saves that shot. Too slow to get down on low shots like that. Maybe if it had been a bit higher on the goal.
-
By his own standard he wasn't good, but agree he tried and ran most of the stuff in the second half so yeah, more deserving as one of the top 3 performances in our team ahead of Gordon.
-
He looks stiff and has that Pope-like balance where he looks like he'll keel over unless he can run in a straight line.
-
He wasn't good today, but after Hall and maybe Thiaw - who was?
-
That was frustrating. Team simply wasn't in synch at all. First half i thought the main problem was our movement off the ball. It's like the players were hoping to get a breather when we had it instead of putting in the work to make themselves available for the pass. We got overrun by man utd. Second half man utd gave us the initiative and defended deep. When our players made good runs, the ball carrier was too late to play the pass. When the pass was played quickly it was either mis-hit or the receiver didn't make the run (or ran in the opposite direction of the pass). Unless we had equalized in the last few minutues I'm fairly sure man utd would have upped their game and won 2-1. Dissapointing considering that we finally had some time to work on things we need to improve on, and it was very much the same as we've seen all season.

Some movement off the ball would be nice. We make it so easy for Man Utd to block all our passing lanes.

He's going to do really well at Milan.

Those fans are idiots, and were a loud minority. Don't mistakenly mix them together with those who thought it was too much to pay for someone Howe wouldn't give any chances until it was way overdue, when the money spent could have been used to better effect elsewhere. Although both were wrong, the argument from the latter group was much more rational.

The style Man City plays is arguably the least suited for Haaland. Luckily for him they have so much quality throughout he gets chances regardless. Imagine him in instead of Wood in the Forest side last season f.ex. They would have been a title contenders.
-
Glad it was given for consistency. Now wait until a Liverpool player commits the same foul.

When he first entered the scene everyone was saying he'd be a much better player if he beefed up a bit. Came back last season with 2x body mass. Then people started saying with his height he could be doing more in the air. This season he scores crucial headers and wins every duel in the air. What can we collectively ask him to master for next season?
-
It's not realistic to expect us to hold onto every lead, but pretty crazy to see we'd be tied for 1st with Arsenal now if we had
-
They scored an excellent free kick, and from Thiaw losing his footing. It wasn't for lack of character or work.
-
Thought we were on 12 tied with Brentford, so 14 now?
-
Ultimately our own doing, but Chelsea better send an extra nice gift basket to the ref for christmas after that. We're undisputed #1 now in the league for points lost from winning positions with 14 after being tied with Brentford on 12 before today.

The new Obertan. Two players open he can pass to. Didn't look up once.
-
Fuck I saw that going in

Feel like we are always making changes to the defence (before the injury crisis) or the attack when really what is needed is more energy in the midfield. I'd have kept Gordon and Murphy on and gotten Joelinton and Willock on for Ramsey and Bruno.
-
Barnes Surely better chance of doing something there by staying up?
