He's played more minutes than Wilson this season, so we've definitely missed out here.

Don't think Dubs is nearly as bad as some say. We'll be worse off without Pope, as any team who loses its first choice keeper to injury would be, but we'll be fine.

Considering his age at the time it's understandable. Turning 19 soon I'm sure he's more up for moving and standing on his own feet.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)

£10m down the tube for what? You genuinely think he was a sellable asset before this injury? -

In other news water is wet and the sun is warm -
PL experience is extremely overrated. Whether a transfer is risky or not is more on how the player has been utilized in the team we're buying him from, and whether he would fit into our system. I don't think Botman, Bruno or Isak were risky transfers. I think the Gordon transfer was far more risky than either of them.

IMO Elanga is the type of player you take a punt on the same way Forest did with Hudson-Odoi. Not someone you'd spunk a notable portion of your transfer budget on. Still, if Howe and Mitchell agrees he's a target they want then by all means go for it.

Must be at least a little bit interesting to follow them right now. Still in qualification spot, lots of young exciting prospects. Rigg, Watson & Bellingham 17, 18 & 19 years old. Oldest player in their side Mepham at 27. If they are able to keep the players and they continue to develop they could potentially have the foundations for a solid lower half PL team in a couple of years already there.

There's no cashing in on Tripps. Nobody will pay for 34 year old player with 6 months left on his contract. There's no incentive for us to let him leave in January on a free either so I'm 99% sure he'll stay here to the summer.
-
I don't know tbh. I thought he was an attacking midfielder who can play as a cm/b2b, but he's also been used on the wing by Pep on a few sub appearances. Haven't watched him (or paid attention to him specifically) enough to say really.

He's allegedly on £130k a week while Bruno is on £160k (going by consensus of all the websites that report it when you google them). Don't think money plus Nunes is such a bad idea in theory.

I think Gordon is a smart player who understands when to press, when/where to make runs and timing them well. For me it's his dribbling and consistency of good quality passing that lets him down. When him and the team has managed to create a 1v1 against a defender for him the next move is usually a backwards pass or losing possession.

The whole reason we've brought in someone like Mitchell is so that we have consistency and follow a certain philosophy in recruitment so we don't need to do a squad re-build whenever a new manager joins, so if there's a deal to be made in January for a player that would strengthen our starting 11 in a position we should strengthen, we shouldn't hold off in case we decide to change manager further down the line. That being said I have no desire for us to change manager. Not even a bottom half finish would change that for me.

How I missed all the HILARIOUS and original gardening jokes

We're absolutely not, in any way, "desperate" for a new first choice keeper.

Signing up to a forum only to trash the best manager we've had in decades and contribute nothing else. On the ignore list you go.

CALLED IT (almost)

The fuck are our players afraid of? Why are we always 1-2m away from the Brentford players, and why do we refuse to tackle them?
-
Murphy MOM so far.

Get stuck in ffs.

Well done Miggy Isak
-
So 18 years old Tom Watson is a genuine top prospect then?

Tino gives Longstaff and Murphy the same challenges as they do to him.
