  1. He has that lazy Shola stroll about him which makes mistakes look even worse than they actually are but looks equally more impressive when he does good as it doesn't look like there's much effort in it.
  2. Llorente, Mitrovic, Morgan Mitrovic, Lascelles and Blob (wildcard)
  3. Clattenberg in Norwegian studio arguing that the penalty/handball situation was correctly not given.
  4. It's not really the pace of Gayle that enables the Shelvey passes, its his runs. If Slimani can do the same type of runs, and in addition bring some more quality and physicality to make the ball stick in Arsenals half we're going to win this.

Why? Those are 100% unrealistic goals to achieve. Disregarding the fact they would never get that kind of money for their players, the players themselves would not want to leave as they would only be getting a fraction of their current salary at another club.

    Rafa Benítez

But 100% of those 80% were premiership the season before that again. He is currently exceeding expectations, but let's not go overboard here

    Kevin Mbabu

Manquillo is proper rotten Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk Well yeah....I was referring to the list of left backs in Unlucky Luques post from his time at Liverpool

    Kevin Mbabu

All of those fullbacks had performed really well in their respective home nations prior to signing for Liverpool though.
  10. Bet he looked at the fixture list, freaked out and took a big dump in front of the chairman in his office in order to avoid having to be in the dugout at St. James' Park without quitting.

  13. Like watching paint dry in a rain forest. If paint dries in a rainforest but nobody watches it, did it really dry? Let me confirm that aye, the paint did dry. My father and step mother went to the match. Had just gotten to the car when the whistle for the third period started and they had to walk back...sadly
  14. I have to swallow my pride and say I have been way ott, borderline out of order, in criticizing him. He may be limited in technical ability, but he has earned the right to be clear first choice LB with some solid and consistent performances this season. His motivation and sacrifice for the team to stay up is very admirable and will no doubt send positive signals to the rest of the team as well. I hope in a year or two the club will have progressed enough to replace him with someone that have similar defensive and better offensive qualities, but for now he is one of the first names on the team sheet for me.

  16. Is it? I thought to myself that I kind of understand where they are now when I saw their line-up. Was of the impression that their squad was better. That is nothing special, some decent players but none of them seem to be the kind that controls matches. Kind of like a team of 11 Winjaldums.
  17. Rafa, the coaches, Joselus teammates and some supporters. If Shelvey see that Mitrovic is being picked ahead of Joselu when Joselu out performs him in training, maybe he too will put in less effort because he knows he will get picked anyway. Lascelles see that Shelvey and Mitro are picked ahead of Joselu and Merino/Hayden and puts in less effort etc etc. Joselu gets angry that he is not picked and stops making any effort because why should he if he isn't getting picked anyway. Poor training results in poor match performances and we go down. One of the few advantages we have this season is fighting attitude and team spirit. I don't see why Rafa would risk spoiling that in order to accommodate one player. I wonder how much it helped team morale to see a striker picked every week that never seemed to trouble a keeper. I would assume it was a feeling of collective responsibility that nobody did good enough rather than players pointing at individuals. I’m inclined to think that team morale with an extra six points in the bag would be a tad higher than it is now. I am willing to bet when a player looks at their pay packet at the end of the season if we go down they may not take the simplistic view that you have. I’ve never heard the likes of Alex Ferguson say Give me the player who runs around in training but can’t hit a barn door on Saturday afternoon because its good for morale. FFS. Do you honestly think that if Ferguson or any top manager was staring relegation in the face they wouldn’t use every resource at their disposal to try to avoid it? It made no sense to get rid of Mitrovic and persist with the others up front. Even less if the reason was he didn’t train hard enough. And then to panic and bring in a player with what could be a long term injury? I have no clue man.
