I'm not sure Jonas was the worst player on the pitch, I think we had quite a few fighting it out for that. Im usually backing Jonas when he gets flak for "no end product" etc. but today he just didn´t do one thing right, I don´t even think he worked that hard which is usually his saving grace if the rest of his game is not up to his standard for whatever reason. Even Obertan had a few decent touches and occasionally his passes hit a team mate. Raylor got a few tackles in and and assist. Ba had a shot cleared of the line after a superb chance and battled hard with Skrtel & Agger the whole game. Those were the closest "contenders" today I thought, and they weren´t even close.

shut up man. Too do something he is dependent on 1) receiving the ball, 2) have team mates who don´t lose the ball the second he gives it to them to be able to build up any play He closed players down when they had the ball in his area, and opened himself up to receive the ball but rarely got it when we were in possession.

Worst player on the pitch was Jonas by a good margin. No pace, no energy. Can´t remember he got past a Liverpool player once, more misplaced passes than completed passes (even counting 2-3 feet passes), no crosses and a few unnecessary fouls right outside our area. Looks like he is in dire need of an extended resting period. Obertan was his usual self. Other than that I can´t complain too much about individual performances, as I think the tactics were probably much to blame. We never deserved any points today.

Without his pace I imagine he will be pretty useless in the PL. Will be interesting to see him in an Arsenal shirt again no matter how good/crap he is though. Still think Wenger would be better off using Walcott in a striker role. There is enough AMC/R/L/none defined players in their squad to cover the flanks temporarily.

Any of Bellamy, Kuyt & Carroll has the ability to hurt us. Funny this, but not very encouraging anyway.

........as long as he receives the ball along the ground. Some of his touches when he tries to control Cabayes long passes have been abysmal,

Not sure if people outside of Norway can watch this, but try anyway. Fast forward to 20:53 to see the "Diouf-man" http://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/england/premierleague/gjenopplev-det-beste-fra-fc-footballhoesten-3667609.html

A pleasent reminder of the Souness days when Shola played as a left winger. Fond memories.

Remember a post-match interview with Gerrard after one of the 3-0's, probably 2006 or 2007 where he was asked the customary question wether it was a tough match or not. Usually players answer the just as customary "it's always hard when xxx is visiting, and they gave us some trouble yada yada", but he didn't even bother with that and just plain out said it was a really easy match in which they had total control from start to finish which seems to be the norm these days. Not expecting any points in this. Downing will probably score since he hasn't done that this season, and is the player with most shots on target without scoring. Carroll will probably score as well. As long as we don't bend over and let Liverpool do as they please, show some fight and score a goal I won't complain too much.

Yes, and we could definitely not use Santon's bodily fluids to make them. We could maybe use the the fuids to test the bore holes though.

Do you know what a bore hole is?

Watching this with a Geordie from work. Never seen a game together with someone from Newcastle, so should be an enjoyable experience.

He has never been very good at taking down Cabayes lush long diagonal passes. Looks like a complete amateur sometimes.

"Cheek Tiote, riot please"? What I hear as well.

Same This honeymoon period better not last much longer. With our results dwindling and theirs improving my quality of life in the weekends have decreased proportionally.

The difference in ability is clear as day. You don´t need to tested to see that, and that is why people are so happy about his performance. Stop being the party pooper. In case you missed it: 'Party pooper'. Fair enough. Didn´t read Skirges post.
-
Would have been an awesome goal if he had managed to get his head 1 cm more in front of the ball from that freekick so it had went under Vorm and in the net.

Its just a cheap excuse from Pardew that he only sees him as a No. 10. Between the games that "there wasn´t room for a No. 10", "the game wasn´t right for him (based on physical opponents??)", "we couldn´t tactically justify playing 4-4-1-1" there really isn´t many games he will be able to feature in. Sort it out Pardew. Didn´t you learn anything from the Mascherano/Tevez debacle?
