https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc.1430800/page-3 Why the need to say basically the same thing seven times? 7 in a row marra ...and still the end goal is to end up where we are now so why would they even want to go on long unbeaten runs and continue to climb if there is nothing to look forward to when they reach it?

Don't think hes an unsung hero. He has gotten the praise he deserves. I do see why he gets some flak because when we aren't playing well and don't have any end product, he really stinks up the place with his weak dribbling, balance and passing.

Aye, can't remember us having a centre back who could pass the ball as well as Lejeune like. A good attribute to have and well utilised today. Colo was pretty class at times Yeah, if there's one thing we aren't lacking any history of its ball playing center backs. Some people man Last "generation" we had Colo who was immense on the ball so much that there were a lot of people calling for various managers to try him as a defensive midfielder. Before that Bramble was pretty decent, at least in terms of long passes and before that again, Albert wasn't much of a hoofer either.

Absolutely brilliant something someone said on something!

Nope :/ It's like you've managed to pull a 9/10 stunner who's also smart and well educated and for some reason she agreed to move in with you at some point even though you're probably a 5 or 6 at best and you work in the local Aldi as a shelf stacker. You take her to meet your parents and they're making fart jokes over the dinner table and the sofa smells of wee. They promise they'll do better but it's the same every time she meets them. You enjoy it while you can, but you know deep down in the back of your mind that it can't last because of factors you just can't control, your parents are fuckwits and you just don't have the money or allure to keep her long term. You sing her name every time you see her which makes her smile, but you just know she's just one step away from moving in with Grant, the annoyingly good looking lawyer with the flashy car that you just know won't treat her right. That's fucking depressing man

Lascelles the obvious choice. Even though you feel others have done well you can't really give it to anyone else. Hes been performing all season, and the little period he was out showed how important he is. Shelvey is the top contender for me, but Lascelles edges him due to more consistent performances. Perez has done really well too, but more so in the last half of the season, same with Diame who has been a beast in the middle in 2018. Special mention to Dubravka as well who I suspect have made some vital saves and interceptions that definitely have saved us some points.

You'd think that if 70% of Swansea's team is good enough for what we aim to achieve next season, they wouldn't be in the predicament they are now

The Championship is like a light hearted sit-com, but even though you are laughing at some of the cringy jokes, you know there is better quality shows on even though they might not make you laugh. I was going for something here but lost my train of thought. Fuck off. I guess the author has a point, but at the same time I can't agree fully with him.

I'd rather we didn't. Con artist acting like a "defensive midfielder" by running around a bit and do low risk side to side passes. No athleticism, no technical ability, no thanks.
-
Don't really see why his current form is expected to drop unless his role changes. His bad performances came from playing in a position not suited for him.

That quote isn’t actually accurate though is it. They said “had” an advantage, rather than “have”. From what I read in the minutes they were talking about the low spending this year, not future spending. True. The reply still bugs me as it was noted that it was expected that we could compete with similar promoted teams, which we clearly didn't, but its not even been acknowledged in the response.

Depends I guess. Whether the loan deal allows us to ship him back for no additional cost and whether if Rafa is still interested in him and wants him to be part of the team to assess him more.
-
We don't need to "seriously kick on" next season for me as long as we build and improve with a purpose. I don't think we need new central midfielders for next season. Diame, Shelvey, Merino and Hayden are good players that compliment each other well. We don't need central defenders next season either. Lascelles, Lejuene, Clarke and Mbemba are also good players that compliment each other. Main focus should be to get the striker we need for Rafas system. Second priority should be to get Dubravka and Kennedy permanently signed. After that, any action that improves us is a bonus for me. If we manage the three first priorities, I would personally like to see competition for Perez, and then full back positions.

Ehm, are you criticizing Slimanis ability to gel with Ayoze based on a simple pass Ayoze overhit? The fact that Slimani did the correct run and Ayoze saw it and made the pass at the right place at the right time surely indicates that they will probably gel well together?

Him and Xavi together during their peaks were something else

Yeah I was going to say that one but wasn't sure if many would remember it Jagielka scored an unreal goal at Anfield a few years ago too But the goal didn't define Edman. It was a wonder strike but didn't define the average PL fullback that he was.
-
players that have that one career-defining goal So much shit in this thread. Only ones I agree with so far are: Owen vs Argentina Weah against Verona Albert against Man Utd Van Basten v Russia Geoff Hurst vs West Germany Most of the others mentioned are just nice goals scored by good and bad players. Don't see how any of them defined their career.

Someone elbows Mitros teammate, and Mitro gives back right at the end....?

Would be interesting to see WBA's PPG with and without Pardew this season, and where they would be if they had maintained the PPG without him through the whole season.
-
Expected performance from both teams. Was a coin toss as to who would take points. Bring on WBA!
-
Nowhere near a penalty, come on guys
-
Dummett left it late to come with his customary recovery sliding tackle out to throw-in.
-
Yes, but he has also ran into positions making it harder for others to support him.

Taking notes of the match in Norwegian studio

Correct.
