I suspect your feelings towards Rosenborg make your opinion a bit biased. I know they will cover their budgeted sales with Demidov, but that doesn't mean they have to follow the budget when an opportunity to run with profit after operating costs arises. Especially with how the Norwegian league finances is these days, compared to how it was just last season.

I don't. The part about the club thinking something is my assumption, the only thing I "know" about is the rejected bid. I was just using said rejected bid to back up my earlier point about how Rosenborg have no habit of accepting a bid just because it's extra money for the club rather than thinking of results on the pitch. just out of curiosity, how much is £2 or £3 million to rosenborg (thats pounds not euros)...is it big potatoes ? Yes. For 2010, Rosenborg have budgeted with £21m operating costs, and that's with £4m deficit (not counting CL money as Kaiz said). I just can't see how they can turn down a bid of £3m, which will cover almost 15% of their total operating costs for 2010. Oh, and exuse my business english please

One part of me wants Netherland to win, just because of all the abuse they have taken this WC. The other part of me doesn't care who wins, as long as it is an awsome match. A dreadful 1-0 to spain, and them passing the ball amongst themselves for x minutes after they score will be a painful last WC match.

Of course it's cheating you fucking idiots! A foul is cheating, which is why you get penalised for it, no matter where on the field or when. He cheated, and will pay the price by being suspended. Had he done it at 2-0 to Ghana, no one would care this much. It's the same "crime", only that he sacrificed himself for the team in a more crucial moment. I would certainly do the same if it was me.

Just been at my local pub here in Norway, where Bruce Grobbelaar, David Johnson, David Fairclough, Alan Kennedy og John Durnin were guests of the owner. 1 minute before Holland scored their first, David Johnson shouts out "They need to take off Robben. They won't win with him on the field". Oh, and Grobbelaar showed his class when some African immigrant (possibly from Côte d'Ivoire) came up to him and celebrated after the whistle had gone, telling him to get the fuck back where ever he came from. Him scoring is definatly not for trying at least. I think he is the one with most shots in the WC so far. That's also why I don't think he deserves to be in the best 11 so far, even though he has played well. Can't help but think that he could have achieved so much more by passing the ball instead of going for glory on many of those occations. There's still time for him to make this "his" world cup though, and I think he will have a lot more space when facing better teams who won't man mark him through a whole game, like most teams up until now has done.

Yeah, I've got no problem with the goal being given for that exact reason, but I think it's pretty idiotic not to show it on replay just because of the fuzz about refereeing that's been going on latley.
