Desperate to have Murphy & Barnes available soon so he and Almiron don't have to worry about conserving energy to play every minute of every game.
-
Did not see the second half go as it did. That was dissapointing. Howe needs to take responsibility now and shelter Tripper for a while no matter what signal he think it would send. He has tried to show faith in him through his fall in form, now he needs to try something else to get him back to the level he had beginning of the season. Not sure what we can do with the wing situation with Gordon & Almiron being our only available wingers and both having no energy to play our game. Maybe do a hail mary with Ritchie & Hall against Liverpool? As soon as Joelinton is fully fit again I hope Miley keeps his spot in favor of Longstaff. Was promising that the latter went off today so fingers crossed that is the way Howe is leaning now.

I get it's dissapointing to conceede so late before HT but come on people. We're comfortably the best team out there. Feel very confident of us winning this.

Great to see Joelinton on the bench. #options

That little boy has played against the best players in the world
-
Not his fault, and didn't mean to word it like that, but it wasn't anyone elses fault was my point Almiron is more reliable.

1 goal, 1 assist in his first competitive game for us. 0 in his following 6 appearances. Then he got injured by breaking his toe by running unchallenged and ruling himself out for ~5 months. Easy choice between the two if I had to make it right now. I might change my mind once he's back, but he definitely needs to prove himself for us. What he did for Leicester doesn't really mean anything at this point.

Would be a very short term fix considering Murphy & Barnes is back within a months time. The worst fixture congestion until then is right now when we can't do anything about it anyway. Not worth it as he'd be unlikely to get much (if any) playing time after that with us only having fa cup & league to play now.
-
Based on what exactly? His form 2 years and 2 long term injuries ago? For us, Miggy ahead of Barnes isn't even debatable until he gets back in shape and starts playing regularly imo.
-
Tonali right, Bruno middle, Joelinton left. Almiron for Barnes & switch side with Gordon. Imo. That's still over half the team not starting so point is valid. Not having Barnes over Almiron though. He did well in the opening game and did f all after that until he got injured. He has to prove himself to warrant being preferred over Almiron.

Neither him or Isak will perform well if the midfield fails to link up with them. There was a huge gap between wingers, midfielders and striker today. Wilson was very much isolated up top feeding off scraps. Didn't really help when Isak came on to play between, probably because he can't run atm.
-
No, they don't. Equally facinating and embarrasing.

Probably the absolute worst time to face Luton who is playing for their captain, at home with fresh legs against a tired Newcastle who's poor away from home and licking its wounds after rapidly getting eliminated from the league cup and europe. Luton were great. Rarely seen a team battle as hard as they did and thoroghly deserved all the points today. I hope we'd come back against Forest in three days but without players coming back fresh from injury we are limited in what we can do. Put the players on ice until then and pray for an early goal.

Imagine paying for something like that. His position is safe both inside and outside of the club.

With the main fixture congestion coming before new year when we can't do anything about it anyway, more and more players coming back from injury with almost everyone (unless new injuries occur) back by end of January and us being out of European competition and the League cup I don't really see the need to get any emergency loans or high value transfer for someone who may not be a player we'd buy if it weren't for our injury crisis. If we end up with no new players in January I wouldn't really mind. If a player we are and have been really interested in for a long time becomes available and we take advantage of it - great.
-
As with everything in our capitalist hell world, we ultimately as a collective consumer base have the chance to just not buy or watch anything related to it if it became a reality and it would fail instantly. The chance of this happening is close to zero though. For me, I would be done with NUFC and football if we were to join this crap.
-
We have played 6 games in between those two games, largely with the same players in every game with the exception of a few players being rushed back from injury due to others getting injured, while Chelsea have played 4 with a bigger squad and less injuries.
-
probably part of the reason
-
It makes sense that the leaders of the squad take responsibility. Ritchie was our dedicated penalty taker before Wilson joined, and probably part of the reason why he came on instead of Hall in case the game went to pens.
-
Just feel bad for Trippier. He must feel like shit. Hopefully the fans can rally behind him and give him the lift he needs rather than tear him further down than he already is.
-
Still brilliant, but possibly burnt out physically and mentally after playing way more than he should have.

Wish Bruno went in harder on the diving cunts.

Fuck'em up Bruno!
