  1. We could have scored a couple today. Don't think we were bad, and if we met any other team, except for maybe Man City, we would have won it. Arsenal were very good. Not worried at all for our last 4 games.
  2. I like how much it hurts to meet us.
  3. Liverpool have Spurs, Fulham, Brentford and Villa at home. All of them have been pretty good this season and it wouldn't surprise me if at least one them might get a draw. Liverpool almost drew against Forest at home.
  4. Get in! Wilson! Great from Joelinton.
  5. Gave it a 7. Looking at it in the longer perspective, I think the ins and outs are well thought out. Gordon looks like someone that will fit our style very well, and Ashby could be a bargain. Shipping Shelvey and Woods makes sense. In the short perspective it would have been good to get a replacement for Shelvey, but that is something we can do in the summer. I have a lot of patience though and even with our position in the league and the potential for both a cup win and european football, I don't care that much if we succeed this season as long as we take the right steps in the longer perspective.
  6. I'm unhappy there's no football in the weekend, but for us as a team I belive it's good. We play with such high intense in our games and the players have looked knackered during the last 15 min in our latest games. Some extra rest early in the season can only help us. The more we play like this, the more we're getting used to it and I think it won't be as big problem later in the season. Specially with the rest most of our players will get during the world cup.
  7. For me this window was 9/10 and only a CM away from a 10. I don't expect any push for Europe this season. Our squad is too thin for that. This and the last window was about building a great starting 11. One that can fight for Europe, and I think that's what we have done. We don't have any real depth, and are very vulnerable at the moment. So may it be, but that's something we can start to address in the next window or two. Also want to bring up the other important acquisitions we have done in Dan Asworth (between windows) and Darren Eals who I believe are very important pieces in the puzzle.
  8. Targett, Pope, Botman and Isak is a superb window. Have some patience. We can't sign them all this window, it's a long time project.
  9. Mine was Marco van Basten. Started with the bicycle kick for Ajax in -86, and then his fantastic European Championship in -88. Then we have all his years in that amazing Milan team. He scored 4 against my hometown team in the Champions League -92.
  10. The ball was deliberately tackled by Konaté, then it hits Fabinhos knee. Clear goal for me. The ball came off Konaté to Benzema (through Fabinho).

    England

Take it Southgate doesn't play any fantasy football. Maddison was FPL player of the month in May with 46 pts (4 goals and 3 assists in 4 games). Should be enough for a place in the squad.
  12. I'm not sure Brentfords bad form is due to a tough schedule. They are above us because they had a great opening to the season. But they have not been great since middle of October. I think it's harder for a team like Brentford to turn it around than it is for Watford, or Burnley. Burnley is used to be shit and grind it out, I'm not sure Brentford is used to that, and they will feel the heat. I have: Norwich Brentford Burnley (it was between them and Watford, and I think Watford has the quality to hit a good streak some time during the season)
  13. Wood has done double figures the past 4 seasons for fucking Burnley. Should at least give him more then two games.
  14. Great to see post-match from page 39 in the title. During Ashley's reign it rarely went above 20. We're back to the old days before Ashley, when we actually cared. Feels great. Get in lads!!!
  15. Would love Rafa in a DoF position. He knows the club, he knows what needs to improve within it. Might even be good for Rafa with a new role after Everton. We know he's a great manager, but some time off with a DoF position is maybe something that would benefit him too. I don't think Howe been here long enough for us to say if it will work out or not. It can take a manager up to a year to get everyone into playing as he wants, get the right players, and to make it click.
  16. If there was a better striker for £25 million who wants to join Burnley, we would have gone for it.
  17. I don't really care if we are relegated as long as we get the manager right. It would set us back a year, but in the grand scheme of things, it means nothing. Four or five years from now, it will not make much of a difference. As long as we have ambitions, and we have plenty of that now, I'll be happy.
  18. First paragraph sounds like a goodbye message. Thanks for keeping us up, you know the way out.
  19. When Ruud Gullit brought 'Sexy Football' to St James' Park and we beat Southampton 4-0. Didn't go so well after that. It ended with Shearer on the bench against Sunderland.
