  1. That's quite usual in a lot of countries and sports around Europe. When it comes to player bonuses and player related stuff it is usually done by a player council (2-3 players) that represent the squad.

    Mikel Merino

Surprised so few have mentioned (JP did above) that he was everywhere yesterday, Kanté style. Wherever the ball was, he was close. Didn't matter if it was in attack or in our own half. You could always see the number 23 shirt. He ran way more than anyone on the pitch, was up at 10.5 km with more then 10 min left of the game. In the last 10 min, when they kicked the ball away he was first one to get down to help Elliot and Clark to get back up again. Seconds later he was helping our attack. He did a few mistakes during the game, but you can clealry see we have a class player at hand if he continue to work the way he did yesterday.
  3. I thought it was a great rule and iirc the initial response was almost all positive. In the Beckham situation it wouldn't have been too difficult to modify so the attacking team could decline the ball being moved. And years later abusing refs is still an issue. From an article back in 2005. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2361805/FIFA-scrap-10-yard-rule.html "FIFA have opted to abandon the experiment due to the confusion in non-rugby playing nations, who do not understand the logic behind the rule." Eh, what?
  4. In Eredivisie they seem to score for fun. Doesn't that mean it is harder for a goalkeeper to perform in such league where they basicly get no help from their defenders? Not saying Ajax or AZ are wrong in their verdict, just questioning the last sentence.
  5. Goalies are grey, player controlled in blue team are light blue, player controlled in red team are purple (looks like they belong to blue team with that colour). 5 different shirt colours.
  6. We have some tough away games coming up, but Reading has Huddersfield and Brighton away in their next two games. Either Reading are gone after that, or they have done us a favour taking points from the others.

It's probably not a criteria for a new job, but I think he would prefer it. If you sum it all together. A club with great potential, a large fan base, and a city where the football club is important for those who live there. Where he can do a lot not only for the club, but for the city. I think all those are important things for him. I'm no expert on England since I'm from Sweden, and there is maybe twenty clubs and cities in England that fits the description, I have no idea. It just a feeling I have that we are the perfect match for him, and that was probably the whole reason he decided to stay with us in the championship.

I'm still optimistic and think he'll stay. It will take quite a lot for him to leave. At the moment he wants one thing with his career and that is a long time project. To build something up, and to compete, which he thinks he can do with us. It also has to be near Liverpool, and I don't see that many other options around. The city and fans are also important for him, and we are the perfect match. I think he will fight to stay and to get things his way. He had quite a long fight with the owners of Liverpool too who promised him the moon, but didn't live up to it. There is of course always the chance Ashley and Carr totally runs him over, and he feels he has no other option then to leave.
  9. Thanks for keeping this up to date Ash. With all the latest transfer activities it's hard to keep up with what we have.
  10. For the past decade it has mostly been shit with this club. Not just on the field, but off the field too. From the sacking of Keegan, to renaming of St James' Park, banning media, shit sponsor and unhappy supporters launching sackeveryoneatnufcandburndownsportsdirect.com to just name a few things. Now this is what we have. I get a tear in my eye just thinking about what Rafa has done with our beloved club in the short time he has been here.
  11. They had Puma last season. Why the hell does our kit not look like this? (better size)
  12. Don't know the pass accuracy from the Tottenham game, but this is the third game in a row with an accuracy under 70%. I know the weather is bad, but we really need to improve on that. Awful stats.

    Steven Taylor

Wilshere had 894 days out so far, more than Assou-Ekotto, but he ain't a left back and didn't make it into the elven. Another one that almost made it was our own hero Shola with 861 days out.
  14. Bundesligas best player last season and probably the main reason to why Wolfsburg ended second behind Bayern.
  15. Over 2p? What is that? My whole team has 2 p so far... together. Got a nice double with Adrian and Janmaat. Howard on the bench. Last week I had Adrian on the bench. Going smooth.
