  1. Except that doesn't explain why he's been attending games recently. If he no longer cared he could just watch the highlights on Match of the Day & listen to the expert pundits licking Pardew's ring. Instead he's been going to games, both home & away, all season, far more than he did last season.
  2. Halfway decent coach and still has a house in Yarm I believe, I'd have him in a heartbeat. Then again I'd take a sack of potatoes as manager if it meant getting rid of Pardew right now.
  3. Either Ryder doesn't really understand the English language or Pardew just said that the team didn't give him everything today. Could be both.
  4. They were garbage, a properly prepared team who actually had a go at them would have massacred them tonight.
  5. No but I'm beginning to wonder if he wasn't picking the team, organising the tactics, reviewing all the games, putting together training sessions and doing all the teamtalks. We were probably using Cabaye's bibs & cones too.
  6. Weren't there some rumours that Ashley had offered him the job in the past, before JFK was first appointed? I'm sure there was talk that he had said he was interested in the job but not on a temporary basis as was being suggested at the time.
  7. Ready made excuse for the weekend. Far too happy to sit back and try & hold on to a 1 goal lead instead of trying to kill the game off by scoring another goal.
  8. Bringing on a goalscorer to score goals? You can't ignore that level of tactical prowess. Do you think that Louis van Gaal or José Mourinho could have come up with such a game changing masterplan?
  9. We were pretty fucking appalling for the vast majority of the game. High crosses into the box where we're lucky to have more than a single attacker (who is usually shit in the air), the usual lack of movement and individual mistakes. Hull somehow managed to actually be worse than us even whilst scoring twice. They came to play a team at its lowest ebb in years and they looked terrified. We didn't ever look like scoring until we were 2 goals down with the game looking lost allowing us to play less restrictively and with more freedom. If Hull weren't shit they'd have demolished us.
  10. Not this s*** again. Ashley is a crap owner but he doesn't pick the team, dictate tactics or run training sessions. Ashley hasn't consistently picked inferior players (Smith, Perch, Gosling, Ameobi) when other options have been available to the detriment of the team and club as a whole. Ashley isn't the one who has shoehorned players into the team out of their natural positions, destroying their confidence and nullifying any threat they might have once offered. Ashley and Pardew are a good match for each other, they each cover the other's inadequacies but it has gone beyond the point now where Pardew is only holding back the club with his own shitness. Pardew is now the root cause of most of the team's issues and has to go. You ask why he should simply walk away since he has a contract? Because it's got the point where the crowd detest him, the players no longer give a f*** and even the media have started to wake up to his inabilities. If he walks away now he might still get another job in the Premiership or top end of the Championship, the longer he allows it to continue the more questions will be raised about his skills and fewer clubs will think him a potential asset. Walk away now and let the media run with the stories that it was Ashley's way of running the club that harmed the team, or carry on and let everyone know it was Pardew himself who couldn't organise a gangbang in a brothel. Mark Hughes or David O'Leary, pick a career path. I'm not saying that Pardew is innocent either, I just feel that Ashley is more to blame. Yes Pardew picks the team, but how much of a say does he have in the players at his disposal? He has shown in the past that he can get results when he has the right players. He is no scout, I doubt he even knows who half of the players we signed this summer actually are but we finished 5th with Pardew as a manager and a very average side tbh. But when Ashley decides he wants to sell our best player (by far) because he is far more interested in lining his own pockets than the fortunes of the football club. That is why, imo, Ashley is more to blame. What does it matter when he can't get anything close to the best out of players that he is given? This is a manager who thought that Hayden fucking Mullins was a better choice than Javier Mascherano. When he's been given players that he's wanted they've hardly been spectacular successes, or have you not noticed Obertan?

  12. Horrible news, get well soon Jonas.
  13. I was on to that before the season started He might be a decent option against teams playing a high back line, allow him to run into space beyond the last defender and he can use his pace to get away, played well he'd score here & there and win a few free kicks and penalties and with time and decent coaching his finishing might improve too. Got to be really easy to defend against us when he's our only attacking outlet though, just sit deep and he'll never have the space to do anything and with the rest of the team offering very little we're pretty toothless.
  14. My dad has been defending him for a while now, insisting that the last 2 seasons of worsening performances have mainly been down to Ashley's lack of spending but even he has given up on him now & wants him out. It hasn't actually been the performances that have changed his mind, it's Pardew's treatment of Ben Arfa that has done it. He's infuriated to see a talented player dumped from the team especially when we're crying out for some creativity and attacking ability. Hopefully he's just the tip of the iceberg & more fans who were willing to give Pardew a bit more time are starting to see that he's a charlatan who isn't fit to manage to pub team.

    Rolando Aarons

Doesn't Pardew pull players out of the reserves when they're on the 1st team bench? Even getting 10 minutes here and there against Premiership opposition won't benefit him as much as playing week in week out in the Championship. Plus, other clubs often have actual coaches.
