  1. Of all the fucking subs you could make, that's the one he chooses?
  2. Plus, it's hard to attract the right new players when you openly state that mid-table is your only aim. Make it clear that the club barely gives a shit about the league and we'd end up with a team full of overpaid mercenaries again.
  3. Pardew would still play the shit, but experienced, senior players rather than take a risk on a youngster. Better for everyone if they stay at Forrest for another season instead of rotting in our reserves.
  4. We were appalling. Absolutely no improvement on the 2nd half of last season, just clueless all over the pitch. We'll go down this season unless something major happens.
  5. Fingers crossed that England will be looking for a new manager shortly
  6. to be fair, we got £35m for Andy Carroll
  7. Alan has read all the Harry Potter novels and now believes he's managing a quidditch team
  8. This kid can't have voted for UKIP, his voice hasn't even broken ffs
  9. Is the UKIP woman actually just Kathy Burke playing a comedy politician?
  10. originally I was hoping he'd bite off Piers Morgan's ear, but now I kind of hope he headbutts this UKIP cretin
  11. I don't think the transfer policy has anything against players over 30, it's more about value for money. If we could get Bent for a low enough price and if he accepted vastly reduced wages then he might be considered value for money. He's not going to have any resale value but I'm not sure that necessarily matters.
  12. I've got to believe that the club simply do not understand the depths of hatred that Pardew has managed to inspire in a large portion of the supporters. They think that a few signings and a couple of wins early next season will see everything all right. Sure a few supporters who believe that it's the club's lack of purchases that have hampered the team recently might be won over but many fans aren't going to suddenly forget the last 18 months and start chanting for a wave again. If he loses a couple of games back to back next season then the crowd is going to be on his back again, more so if we actually buy some players. When your own fans start chanting We're going to have a party when Pardew gets the sack there is no coming back from that, he's not going to win back those supporters, their numbers are just going to continue to grow. He's already lost the jury & he's just waiting for the execution. Firing him isn't just a necessity for the club, it's a mercy for Pardew.
  13. Shepherd? I'm having wistful thoughts about Gordon McKeag
  14. Pathetic. Fuck everyone involved in the ownership and running of this club utterly clueless cretins. We need new ownership desperately. Even Blackburn's insane chicken farmers would be better than this shit.
  15. Our only hope for now is that there's a completely insane chairman out there who'll try to get him.

    Dogawful Officiating

Woohoo? If he's anywhere near the starting XI at the beginning of next season we're fucked.
  17. Just give me a manager who actually learns from their mistakes instead of repeating them week in week out.
  18. You would think that the other players would look at his treatment by pardew and wonder if a couple of bad games might see them scapegoated in the same manner
  19. Ashley doesn't trust managers after Allardyce spunked a wad of cash on utter dross, that lead him to trusting his mates and Dennis Wise over Keegan. If Pardew has persuaded him that he should be trusted with funds (I have to put up wiv all these frenchies, we need sum english grit to give us sum fret!) then it'll royally fuck up whoever takes over after Pardew inevitably fucks up. Carr won't hang around if he's not being listened to and it's really only the players that he's scouted who have kept Pardew in a job.
  20. Why wouldn't it? If you believe it's possible, fair play, but I just don't see it. Even with guaranteed investment of 30 million pounds a year and one of Europe's top managers (assuming we could keep him for longer than a season), it would still require the equivalent of flipping a coin fifty times and having it all come out heads. Even then, get one decision wrong and we'd be right back down where we are now. Look at a club like Chelsea as a contrast. A litany of terrible decisions and bad signings and one appointment has them instantly in title contention. The disparity in the allowable margin of error should feel shocking. West Ham, 2 points Hull City, 3 points Sunderland, 3 points Swansea, 1 point West Brom, 3 points Norwich, 2 points Sunderland, 3 points Fulham, 3 points Stoke, 3 points Swansea, 3 points 10 games in which we pissed away 26 points. 10 games that we should have either won or at least picked up a point where Pardew mismanaged the team and we dropped points. 9 games against teams who finished below us in the league. 26 points would have seen us in 5th and challenging for the Champion's League again. We don't need massive spending, Souness proved you can spend a fortune and still end up with a shite team. We need intelligent investment and a decent manager and we could be challenging for Europe again.
  21. If it's true that the club asked Liverpool to confiscate banners then they must be aware that Pardew is hated by a good proportion of the fans. People who were asking for a wave a few months ago now want to see him hanging from the rafters. Giving the lunatic any money to spend isn't going to appease enough supporters & he's going to be starting next season getting booed by his team's supporters. Not sacking him is simply antagonising already pissed off fans even further. It's not going to end well.
  22. If true, fuck this club.
