Considering how he's got a team of seasoned professionals to forget the absolute basics like how to pass to team mates or how to move into space I'm not sure about having Hughton as a coach let alone as a manager. If the players are simply ignoring what he's telling them then he lacks the command needed in the dressing room to be a manager. If the players are actually doing what he's telling them then he clearly has no idea what he's doing.

Why do you think man? Its a reference to the Keegan case. I'm not too sure about that bit, don't forget that the whole reason he brought in a director of football was because of the players that Fat Sam bought. With Keegan he left Llambias & Wise to look after the club & they fucked up in ways beyond imagination. I took that part as him saying that he doesn't trust others to run the club for him and if he stays he'll be more hands-on.

More complacent crap from us. The quality of our passing is disturbingly bad, as is the lack of quality in the final 3rd. There's no invention or creativity on the pitch so we're back to hoofball. If we carry on the same in the 2nd half we'll lose, and deserve to.

Well he clearly means it this time, totally different from every other time he's done something rash and stupid before coming out with a deep, heartfelt apology a few months later to tell us all that it won't ever happen again. He's an accident waiting to happen and I simply do not believe that he'll be able to see out his contract here without doing something stupid (yet) again.

How many OF fans would still support their teams if they went for 5 years without winning, or even challenging, for a trophy? It's easy to have a massive fan base when you're winning things, it's a lot harder when you're one of the also-rans. I'd have no problem with amalgamating the English and Scottish League Cups into an Anglo-Scottish Cup. It'd be a far more interesting competition than it is now and it'd benefit other clubs in Scotland, not just Celtic & Rangers (though I'd not want to be a Plymouth fans if they got drawn away against Inverness).

I'm surprised that we didn't add anything into his contract that would be triggered by him being found guilty in the Dabo case tbh. He should have been everything we wanted in a midfielder but he's played so rarely for us that he's beginning to threaten Marcelino's record for non-appearances. If he's not suspended then he's injured or serving time and despite all his talk about how he's really sorry yet again and he won't fuck it up yet again he seems to manage to find new and exciting ways of fucking up those chances. No more chances, just fuck off.

They claim to have pledges up to £20m, but only they know what conditions were attached to those pledges

Weird that this is a second mysterious bidder who are avoiding dealing with Seymour Pierce. Wonder what they've done to piss people off.

I've no problem with Moat's finances in the long run, the club can be self-sufficient if run well and will generate plenty of cash. The problem is going to appear in the summer (assuming we get promoted this season) when we're going to need to buy 8-9 players to replace the garbage and strengthen those positions where there's little or no backup. Frankly, if we get promoted and spend under £40m on those players we'll probably be looking at relegation again.

Keegan vs Ashley and Co case settled - KK awarded 2m

See, that's where the club has been going wrong. The club's plan has basically been to pin all hope on magic pixie dust, it takes a real managerial genius to see that you need time and money to succeed. Fucking hell, he got paid for that? What's he going to say next week? He believes water is wet? The sky might be blue? -
Poor performance today, very complacent passing like they simply assumed they'd win rather than actually having to work for it. The ref was abysmal too, consistently made the wrong decisions throughout the game.

One thing for Ashley to take from this is that he needs to get shot of whoever has been advising him about the club and the game because whoever he's taking advice from they've got every decision wrong. -

Disgusting behaviour by the club, Wise & Llambias in particular. -
Can't stand the fat bastard, but he makes some good points, especially about the £millions His entire article is based on the assumption that this bloke has bought Portsmouth as something to waste his money on, like Abramovich and the Man City lot, which is a hell of an assumption to make. Has this Fahim bloke ever even claimed that's why he's bought the club? He was originally claimed to be the head of a consortium who were going to buy the club and who would have the funds available to throw money at it like Man City. When the FA said that they'd need to do a full fit-and-proper person test on each of the consortium the other members (if they ever actually existed) mysteriously vanished leaving only Al Fahim. Al Fahim isn't exactly a pauper, but he hasn't got billions. He did a complete due diligence on Portsmouth's books too, so it isn't like he wasn't aware of their debt levels. Coupled with his own lack of liquid funds it's a wonder that he bought the club at all, I'd guess that he believed he could sell the club on quickly or find another investor quickly to help fund the club.

He's started 5 out of their 8 league games so far this season for them, hardly a fringe player. -

Quality? Peter Ramage... -
On paper he's still the best central midfielder at the club, unfortunately it doesn't seem to translate well into reality. When I've seen him play this season he's looked like he couldn't give a shit, his ability covered up for this in a couple of games but he hasn't looked like the player he should be on paper. I don't even believe that the injury is that serious, learning from Shearer what the situation was last season with "injured" players having a holiday camp mentality I doubt that Hughton will have been too strict with the players and one or two will have relaxed back into the old routine.
-
Having seen us play with a team of midgets for the last couple of seasons I still can't get used to commentators talking about the number of tall players we have available during set pieces.
-
He was unable to deal when under any pressure whatsoever, got to imagine that there are a few managers out there now looking at that for when they play us.
-
--------------------Harper-------------------- ---R Taylor---S Taylor--Colo---Enrique--- ----Geremi---Nolan-----Smith---Loven---- ---------Carroll-----------Harewood--------- Can't see how it could be anything else with the injuries and suspensions, though I kind of expect Hughton to start Harewood from the bench, put Nolan up front playing just in behind Carroll and play Butt in midfield.
-
A minor foot problem? Wouldn't surprise me if he was out for at least 8 weeks.

On paper probably, I'm not convinced by a Shola & Carroll partnership though
