Playing a full season with 2 CMs (given that Diame is always played as no.10) capable of starting isn't even a gamble, it's a guaranteed shortcoming.

You make it sound like we can put them all in nets at the same time. Krul at his best is good enough to play for us in the PL, but the rest aren't. It's one of those positions where over the years we've tried to grab bargains here and there instead of just biting the bullet and bringing someone in with a proven track record of being adequate at top level.

He'll see them right and they'll probably go up next season, unfortunately.

If Krul doesn't return it's an obvious one. I saw him in the Trafford Centre not so long back so he's obviously still got links here too. Think we'd need to get at least one of our keepers off the books to bring in another, mind.
