Neesy?

I'm not far off the M60 at junction 13. But driving into the centre wouldn't add more than 10 minutes.

8-hour round trip? It takes me 2 hours, 10 minutes to get down to Manchester. Only if you go when there's little traffic and drive like an idiot. Do you drive a Micra? The only delays occur in North Yorkshire. The rest of the journey is straighforward, even at fairly busy times.

Jonas Olsson. And yes, he has.

Bent over backwards for Portsmouth.

Count against what, Xisco? Shola and Lovenkrands are pretty poor footballers who've mostly demonstrated this for the best part of a decade, Xisco isn't, that's just my opinion. If we're going to play the stupid stats game, Xisco could actually be made to look better than Ranger, Loven and Shola. But he's only started 3 league games for us, so stats are a bit pointless here. Unless you're a small-minded old bigot like Mick.

I'm not sure Xisco has proven he's a better footballer than the rest while he's been here. It's just an opinion. Lovenkrands is 30, invisible outside the box, has iffy finishing and pretty much relies on a lot of chances being created and poor defending in order to be effective. Best has a very poor touch, shares Shola's clumsiness and has a poor goal record even a tier below. Ranger could very well amount to something at Championship level or above but he's a striker still learning to be a striker. He should be getting games in a lower league and learning his way up. Shola, i'm not even going to bother. Leaves Xisco and Carroll, there's no reason the pair of them shouldn't get a chance to play together at SJP.

That's at least the 5th time i've seen you post that in relation to myself, Dave. Anyone would think that you want a bite.
-
It's a lesser of five evils. Xisco, simply because he's quicker than Shola and generally a better footballer than the rest.
-
Warming the bench would be an improvement. Even with Best's injury and Xisco's suspension.
-
He had the chance to stake a claim last season. He should probably be out on loan.
-
Aye, Ranger's proved he's ready for the PL.

Shay Given doing his best impression of Kat Slater.

We see Nolan run around till his face gets red and he spends the remaining 70 minutes hiding and blowing out of his arse. There's no spirit and determination there. Wanting to win badly is one thing, making the sacrifices to do it is quite another.
-
He does the basics well, which is always the best place to build from. I'd like to see him on loan at a Championship club.
-
Let's hope he's telling lies again.

I disagree. EDIT: was having trouble there being able to type so before this gets out of hand what i mean is what Niel said really. The hockey thing was about how they changed the game from negative to positive and this is what I meant. I hated watching Chelsea (particularly) and manyoo in those years as they had big physical players (Ronaldo even) and would adopt a "stop them" attitude instead of a "go out and beat them" one against the top continental teams. I distinctly recall that Spanish LB for Chelski trying to murder Messi and being sent of for it but that's just one of a few games they played. I'm not on about a Bolton/Allardyce thing, just saying I'm pleased that after a couple of years adapting skill appeared to have won the day when Barca took the title. Hope it continues. You mean when Chelsea absolutely battered Barcelona both offensively and defensivley for 90 minutes only to be denied by some pathetic officiating and ultimatly beaten by Barcelona's first shot on target? Yeah that season. Payback I'd call it. Betting better physically justifies getting punished with ridiculous officiating? You're bright.

The day NUFC is epitomised by talentless, past-their-best lumps of lard like Kevin Nolan is the day we find ourselves in a predicament far worse than anything I've seen in my 18 seasons as a fan. The player in the thread title comes a lot closer to doing it.
