Nobody compared them. They were brought up to demonstrate the shit journalists come out with to fill a bit of space. Fact is, the only players who stay at NUFC long term under Mike Ashley are the ones that fail.

I wonder how a player with 11 years more experience and playing regularly in this division for most of his career, could be better than Mitro like. It's amazing how we're only to judge Mitro on the league he's used to (Belgian?), it seems no division is easy for him. He's forever 'bedding in.' We could get relegated to League Two and there will be Mitro fans saying "ah but he's new to this division, he's young, give him time!" I say that partly in jest, but I also worry that Mitro hasn't impressed Rafa as much as he probably should have. To be fair, Mitrovic was good V QPR and PNE when he started and scared the life out of Norwich when he came on and we were chasing. One of the few occasions we've played a genuine 4-4-2 under Rafa. We looked pretty fucking great with it, too.

Steven Taylor, Barcelona.

You mean like we did with an injured Rob Elliot a few months back? Aye, I can barely begin to imagine the genuine interest there.
-
Alsoran's thankfully out of contract in June.
-
You can't actually be serious, surely?
-
Tiote was in demand when we gave him a new contract, it was during or immediately after the season we finished 5th from what I recall. Demand from who? If we'd got any half decent offer for him he'd have been gone.
-
Perhaps stop giving contracts to players who nobody else wants? Only a couple days ago folk were suggesting we extend Sammy's time here.

They drew 0-0 away to Cardiff if memory serves.

Just favour the good player over the cheaper shit one. Usually prevents stuff like relegation.
-
He's not in the same league as Krul tbh. Loads of time to improve, though.
-
Lets hope that's true.

Steady on.

Sure he'd be a handful at this level like. You're confident we're effectively 3 months away from being a PL team again, though. Shouldn't we be looking at players capable of doing it at that level? There will surely be better players available to us in the summer if we get promoted though - and at less of a premium. In that sense, a decent loan signing or two might be more prudent than paying extortionate fees for average PL players. As much as I like Townsend for instance, £15 million or so in the summer with PL status secured should easily get someone better. Suggest someone better for that price, then.

Ooooooooooh it's a good paper.

I'm not gutted TBH, Townsend is probably better but we're still addressing a need. We need a godawful PL player? Surprisingly enough not that's not everyone's opinion. Everyone's but yours pretty much rubber stamps it I'd say.

I think if we'd played a better side than Rotherham at the weekend that opinion would have a bit less weight. You're right in a sense but only because we literally have no contingency at all for loss of what Shelvey and Ritchie provide.
-
I think they're going down this season, mind. I'm thinking about putting some serious money on it.
-
Alternatively, Dummett would instantly look better behind a LW who doesn't look to play simple 5 yard passes and come inside because of his own hideous limitations. We all know Dummett's not good enough to be our starting LB beyond this season but to blame him for the fact we're uncreative from LW is over the top.

Bye, you useless sack of shit.
-
Every time a winger gets a few goals, somebody somewhere suggests him in a central role even when he blatantly doesn't suit it. This is a good example of that.

Maybe Shintonsghost can freeze time.
