As I said yesterday, Walcott won't thrive in a team that gradually get their players up the pitch as Arsenal do. He's a player that would look far more useful in a different setup.

My point being, 3 years ago he was on the decline and it's continued. Agbonlahor is a very good player who is a couple of years away from being great. Walcott is a good player who's a very good option if we need some penetration heading into extra time.

Beckham has done very, very little in recent years to suggest he'd be any use in South Africa. Resorting to a Capello comment when he was actually Beckham's manager to back up your point is a little daft. Manager's laud their players with OTT praise every day of the week.
