Always used to like Nigel Martyn.
Yeah good keeper at both Palace and Leeds. Steve Ogrizovic should probably have been capped in the late 80s too.
Big Oggy was quality, like. Remember him making out of this world saves against Beardsley and Cantona in 93-94.
Well I'm glad to hear that. Too many people I've spoken to, admittedly 30 or younger, are surprised when I talk about him being the last great English keeper. Tim Flowers would've made pretty much every England Xl since, too.
It's a shame Seaman is know by our generation and onwards primarily for the ludicrous ponytail and misjudgement against Brazil because he was an outstanding goalkeeper.
Villa's fans and owner want instant results. Steve Bruce will be sacked before he gets Villa promoted, therefore it's not a solid appointment.
A solid appointment would be getting in someone who can have the opportunity to rebuild from scratch including everything behind the scenes (as we have done with Rafa). Bruce wont be given that opportunity or time to do it so it's just a pointless appointment.
So Villa fans/owner want instant results so a solid appointment would be someone rebuilding from scratch - ie not someone as Hans says with a track record of getting teams promoted quickly?
You need to start reading the guff you come out with, man.
33 goals in 84 games in his last two seasons. Not too shabby for someone who's legs had gone like...
I don't want to get into this again but for once Cronky's right. He got a fair few goals against nonentity opposition but in the PL he just wasn't Shearer those last 2 seasons.
Definitely the gayest away day story I've ever heard.
Suppose you were sniffing coke off prostitutes tits at the age of 12 at Burnley away or something, aye?
No. We didn't play Burnley away in my time as a supporter till I was 28 - by which time my cocaína days were over, mostly.
