Pure speculation, like. It's more to do with his godawful performance against Wolves plus Clark's assured displays since then. That performance was no worse than Clark's against Reading or Lascelles against Fulham. Aside from that anyway he was part of the team which conceded zero goals in over 400 minutes and a big reason why. Let's not act like he's been consistently bad, if anything it's the opposite. Clark has been great from what I have seen so deserves his place until further notice, but the majority of Mbemba's performances have been great and all 3 of the CBs in question have had poor performances. I don't dislike Mbemba but this is tosh, like.

Can't say I agree with that, his last ten minutes aside. I thought he was very assured and always in the right position today. As far as the Colback's scale goes, that was right up there. On the overall scale it was still low down there, we should be dominating the midfield so much more. Still don't agree. I hate him as much as the next guy but thought he had a good game in his role by anyone's standards. Good in what way? Sitting in front of the back 4 and mopping up play, distributing the ball well (for the most part) and generally being a grunt, doing the dogs work. Is this satire? No, just the weirdo who was defending McClaren while he was blatantly taking us down. Colback was typically shit today.
