I've been in meetings all afternoon, how have the full backs done tonight, surely that's a better pairing than the one that started the last couple of games ? Lazaar had an awful first half. Yedlin has been canny, according to comms. Oh no, had high hopes for Lazaar and anything is better than Dummet, hopefully just nerves. I don't know how people can still come out with rubbish like this, mind. He's obviously going to be Rafa's first choice this season.

I do think we'll struggle to score goals when sides sit back, like. When we are given space we'll murder everyone, obvs.
-
Lord Mayor's show ffs. I'm tempted just to give up football on nights like this.
-
A CB needs to be good in the air in the PL, like. It was certainly a priority here under Bobby and KK.
-
Ancelotti said in his most recent book that there'll always be a place for Clement in his coaching family. It works, why change it?
-
I don't think there's much in it. Both have weaknesses and lots to learn. I have very little doubt Lascelles will go on to have a better career, mind.
-
He was a physical and technical colossus with a football brain and a massive desire to be the best. I don't think any of us will see a better striker.
-
It sounded like a friendly game, like. Absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever.
-
This is just nonsense. Just dreadful revisionist history by the forum's king of it. Chelsea 5-1 Arsenal 7-3 Sunderland 0-3 (twice) Wigan 4-0 Liverpool 0-6 Man U 0-4 Just a selection of our worst defensive performances in recent memory. Guess which 'defensive' midfielder was the common denominator in all?
-
I don't think he's the best CB in our squad, let alone the league. I think he's good, just nothing special.
-
Tiote failed his medical at Galatasaray, so it's got fuck all to do with how good he is. Of course he did.
-
Ironic you'd bring up Dummett. He's a defender who can't play football. Tiote's a midfielder who can't play football - certainly not to any level I'd expect from a midfielder. Spot the difference. I'm not even going to comment on his ability to protect the defence. We lost by 3 goals or more so many times with him in the side even Pardew and McClaren figured out his level. Hopefully you two aren't far behind, but we all probably know better.
-
He was great. We got relegated. His utterly shit performance against Norwich a key factor in that.
-
All Tiote would do in this division is give away stupid free kicks leading to goals and fail to contribute to our overall play. Hayden's better, much better. Anita's better, too. There's a reason we literally can't give shit like Cheick Tiote away. We're the only side stupid enough to pay his wages.
-
People keep coming out with this fucking shit but we've got much better players than him.
-
HTT's a great lad and a great poster but he's as biased as fuck. He needs slapping down, quite frankly.
-
Henry and Shearer better than Ronaldo, man. OK.
-
Well a minute is a hell of a long time. 10 seconds and be done with it. Infinitely better than having to clap for any period of time. It takes folk 10 seconds to shut up, though.
-
There's a cunt who sits in the Gallowgate 1 row below where I used to who told both Ba and Cabaye to 'fuck off and don't come back' on their debuts against Arsenal. Some of our fans literally just turn up to watch 11 men in black and white knock a ball towards a goal. They aren't capable of comprehending anything beyond that.
-
This needs to be better defined, like. The FA Cup and League Cup are on different sides of the argument.
-
Rafa knew what he was going suggesting him and Gayle have a shooting competition, like. 'Er, you can just have it, Dwight.'

Which every keeper from Premier League to Sunday League does. It's generally the stuff you don't notice that makes a goalkeeper worth having in your side. Darlow has time on his side but he's a long way short of what I want starting for us next season. If it's the stuff you don't notice that matters, how do you ever notice if a goalkeeper is good or not? I think you know the answer to that. The point is, the best keepers make it look pretty easy. It's the shit ones like Rob Elliot that get credit for Hollywood saves that will often be a straightforward catch for the keeper that gets his positioning right. Or the one who organises his defence in such a way that the save doesn't need to be made at all.
