  1. He's the worst Dutchman I've heard for his English, like. Embarrassing.

I never knew how to pronounce it, foreign word to an American. I heard the commentator say it, assumed it was right - then googled it - then heard how it was on wikipedia, etc. Mate I still remember your effort to pronounce Morecambe (who'd we'd just played in the LC) in the bar. I was absolutely perplexed as to what you were talking about for a good 20 seconds.
  3. That match couldn't have gone much better, like. Shockingly mediocre outfit without Suarez.
  4. Why throw his hand out like some slapper trying to fend off a drunken oaf? Horrible bastards getting what they deserve.
  5. Major brain freeze, there. Just couldn't find my way to attendant somehow.
  6. I got talking to an air stewardess - or whatever the term is for a male who pushes the trolley and tells folk to fasten seatbelts - on the way to Florida in August who happened to be a Forest fan and couldn't have given a more favourable appraisal of Darlow. Said he was a brilliant keeper and was gutted to be losing him.

I could almost understand him talking that way about a CM to instil an incentive to prove himself. About a GK it's absolutely beyond retarded as physically pushing yourself doesn't come into play. Confident and relaxed means they'll get the basics right and develop from there.

    Papiss Cissé

I think his link-up play was adequate. I could barely care less about that aspect of his game if he's scoring more than a goal every other game in our team, mind.
  9. Mojo's a smashing lad but he doesn't half get confused. Like everyone else there's players I rate, really rate, don't rate and feel indifferent about.
  10. I'd forgotten beating Swansea 3-1 at home constitutes a monumental managerial achievement, like.

    Steven Taylor

As stupid as Taylor is we've looked markedly more solid without Williamson in the middle of defence this season.

Wenger might say it now. I remember him saying he wasn't very good in an interview right before he scored 2 goals at the Emirates. Cisse hasn't scored all his goals in the second half, either.
  13. It was either blame the defence for us not winning games or explore the fact we weren't scoring goals. That would've meant criticism for the media's favourite England hypejob.

Wenger didn't rate Drogba, either, in spite of the fact he seemed to score against Arsenal in every other week. Who Wenger doesn't rate is about as relevant as who Pardew does rate. If Cisse's scoring goals, especially at his current ridiculous rate, and not hurting the tempo of our play with offsides there's no reason for him not to start every game.
  15. Apart from aerial ability I think Janmaat's as good or better than Debuchy in every respect. Have to say that replacement was brilliant business.
  16. Pointing out that Hatem had/has a special talent that's largely gone to waste constitutes hatred now? I think you need to open your eyes to the fact that's a pretty sensible and restrained opinion.
  17. It has been said, just apparently not by KI.
  18. I don't think we got carried away considering what we witnessed. There's certainly been an element of filling in the gaps for him when he's been missing and always doing so in an exaggerated, positive way, but when I've actually seen him I've loved it, he's been productive and he's still surprised me. The Keegan thing is just fantasy football stuff that's a fun bit of escapism when things are depressing, and not necessarily untrue (or admittedly true for that matter) Haven't heard the Rooney thing, I generally hear 'more technically/naturally gifted than...' which for the most part is true imo. He's the most naturally gifted player I've seen play for us, bar Beardsley. He still has other flaws, but I don't think enough is enough. We've seen him play, he should have played a lot more, we're rightly pissed off to have been denied seeing more of him. Come on, man. Rooney, I think we can all agree, hasn't quite fulfilled his natural talent, yet has won everything in club football and will be top all-time scorer for Man U and England within 18 months. That says everything about how much was expected from his ability.

I'd always start Cisse, tbh. With decent service he'll score goals without trying.
  20. He's made plenty of sensible decisions to line his own pockets. Very few that will benefit NUFC in the long term.
  21. He loves and respects Steve Brewce?
