  1. Yeah, it's utterly devastating. Worse than Bellamy doing his hamstring against Villa.
  2. Lampard's a better player in almost every respect, nobody is disputing it. In fact that's exactly what I was trying to draw attention to.

It's totally irrelevant, as performances are always pretty awful with Allardyce in the dugout. The results, however, aren't awful. That's his MO.
  4. Nobody agreed with such an idea and nobody implied Lampard isn't naturally gifted. He just isn't as naturally gifted as Ben Arfa from an athletic and technical standpoint.

Neither would I. I'd have him over Pardew, mind.
  6. Fuck me, you seriously don't believe this do you? Joey Barton has a "set of balls" as well and has had a nothing career for the most part. Lampard is way more gifted than Ben Arfa, stop throwing around cliches. To reference "House of Pain" the Cream of the crop, usually rise to the top. Joey Barton. Joey Barton is a shoddy excuse for an athlete with a decent right peg, no temperament, who probably lacked anything like the right application until he realised his career was going nowhere in his late 20s. That's why he's had a nothing career. Yeah, that 'cream' is generally comprised of talent, a bit of luck, and the balls to make the sacrifices to bring it all together. Lampard spent most of his late teens on West Ham's bench or in the reserves; at that age Ben Arfa was starting for Lyon, on the verge of playing for France and being talked about as a huge talent who'd eventually light up the world stage. If you're dumb enough to think the reason the former has had such an hugely superior career is talent, fair play. I'm not.

Well, actually, the point being disputed is that we looked like going down under Allardyce. Which we didn't. Allardyce's football is awful on the eye but he is far too good at scraping wins to get a side relegated.

Aye, a Joke Kinnear - Chris Hughton - Alan Shearer bumbling masterclass suggests Sam Allardyce could've gone 5 months without accumulating the 10 points required for PL safety.
  9. Unfortunately none of these good managers want him in their team. All their fault, too.
  10. Pink champagne ffs. What a fairy.

Aye, right. Allardyce and his history of taking teams down. No point in this mongish tosh.

We had 26 points when Allardyce was sacked in early January and finished on 43. There was no precipice, freewheeling or cliff. I totally go along with the contempt for Allardyce and appreciation for Keegan but the notion that the former was dragging us towards relegation before KK showed up, saved us and transformed the team into a really good outfit is bollocks.
  13. Am I seeing things? Elliot's probably overweight but he doesn't even make the top 2 of the fattest keepers I've seen at NUFC.

We certainly weren't 'on the precipice of relegation' when we appointed Keegan the last time, mind. No need to exaggerate that much.

Absolutely not. He'd probably end up with one, mind.
  16. I remember Friedel being an absolute arse at the training ground in '94. It's also a big shame the MetroStars are no longer called that. Great name.
  17. Or the fact he's an attacker who doesn't score or create.
  18. Cisse looks handsome with a bit of hair.
  19. Fair play to him if he stood up to Pardew. All we know for sure is that he calls him the best manager he's ever worked with and said the other month that he shouldn't be sacked in spite of the fact that fan groups has mobilised against Pardew partially in defence of Hatem himself.
  20. I've alluded to him taking the easy way out in the past. If you look back in this thread it'll have been said in the summer. I remember discussing it before the season started. In all seriousness this is a bit of a waste of time. As much as Pardew's badly mismanaged him since late 2012 Hatem's more responsible than anyone else for being out of favour on loan at Hull City during the prime of his career. Hardly profound.
  21. I don't know if you're seeing things again but not at one point have I referred to previous opinions.
  22. I watched the last half hour too. It was pretty fucking insipid stuff.
