As stupid as Taylor is we've looked markedly more solid without Williamson in the middle of defence this season.
-
Wenger might say it now. I remember him saying he wasn't very good in an interview right before he scored 2 goals at the Emirates. Cisse hasn't scored all his goals in the second half, either.
-
It was either blame the defence for us not winning games or explore the fact we weren't scoring goals. That would've meant criticism for the media's favourite England hypejob.
-
Wenger didn't rate Drogba, either, in spite of the fact he seemed to score against Arsenal in every other week. Who Wenger doesn't rate is about as relevant as who Pardew does rate. If Cisse's scoring goals, especially at his current ridiculous rate, and not hurting the tempo of our play with offsides there's no reason for him not to start every game.

Apart from aerial ability I think Janmaat's as good or better than Debuchy in every respect. Have to say that replacement was brilliant business.

Pointing out that Hatem had/has a special talent that's largely gone to waste constitutes hatred now? I think you need to open your eyes to the fact that's a pretty sensible and restrained opinion.

It has been said, just apparently not by KI.

I don't think we got carried away considering what we witnessed. There's certainly been an element of filling in the gaps for him when he's been missing and always doing so in an exaggerated, positive way, but when I've actually seen him I've loved it, he's been productive and he's still surprised me. The Keegan thing is just fantasy football stuff that's a fun bit of escapism when things are depressing, and not necessarily untrue (or admittedly true for that matter) Haven't heard the Rooney thing, I generally hear 'more technically/naturally gifted than...' which for the most part is true imo. He's the most naturally gifted player I've seen play for us, bar Beardsley. He still has other flaws, but I don't think enough is enough. We've seen him play, he should have played a lot more, we're rightly pissed off to have been denied seeing more of him. Come on, man. Rooney, I think we can all agree, hasn't quite fulfilled his natural talent, yet has won everything in club football and will be top all-time scorer for Man U and England within 18 months. That says everything about how much was expected from his ability.

I'd always start Cisse, tbh. With decent service he'll score goals without trying.
-
He's made plenty of sensible decisions to line his own pockets. Very few that will benefit NUFC in the long term.
-
He loves and respects Steve Brewce?
-
Aye, that and recommending supplements to the must vulnerable people you come across in the drugs thread. Owt else from '08 or '09?
-
No. I don't get sparked out by random anoraks in pubs for acting like a cunt and brag about it on here, either.

I do think vast amounts of the affection for Hatem are based on what we hoped and predicted he'd do, as opposed to what he actually did. Lovely player to watch on his day but he's overrated on here, no question, and not necessarily by Kanji either. 'Keegan would turn him into the best player in the league', and 'much more talented than Rooney' spring to mind. I'm not pointing fingers; we all get carried away when discussing things we're passionate about, but enough's enough now.

2009 wants its overused guff, back.

Sevilla play much better football than Man City last season? Just stop.
-
He's a lot better, but all of them got around 25-26 league goals.
-
He played 45mins and made some mistakes. Not holding it against him or anything but waaaaaaaaay too early to start calling him 'outstanding'. Made some fantastic saves, wasn't wound up by Drogba or Terry and cleaned out Costa the first time a high ball was hoyed in the box. I thought he had a great game. Dear me. What does half of this dreadful post even mean?
-
At this point I take a small amount of enjoyment from promising player performances. I take zero enjoyment from good results, and always will with Pardew in the dugout. Sad, and I'm sure someone will use it against me at some point, but it's exactly how I feel.
-
I think you're right. It'll taper down to something semi-disrespectful, basically.

This is the more level-headed version of my feelings.
