Am I seeing things? Elliot's probably overweight but he doesn't even make the top 2 of the fattest keepers I've seen at NUFC.
-
We certainly weren't 'on the precipice of relegation' when we appointed Keegan the last time, mind. No need to exaggerate that much.
-
Absolutely not. He'd probably end up with one, mind.
-
I remember Friedel being an absolute arse at the training ground in '94. It's also a big shame the MetroStars are no longer called that. Great name.
-
Well that didn't work.
-
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE THIS?
-
Or the fact he's an attacker who doesn't score or create.
-
Cisse looks handsome with a bit of hair.
-
Fair play to him if he stood up to Pardew. All we know for sure is that he calls him the best manager he's ever worked with and said the other month that he shouldn't be sacked in spite of the fact that fan groups has mobilised against Pardew partially in defence of Hatem himself.
-
I've alluded to him taking the easy way out in the past. If you look back in this thread it'll have been said in the summer. I remember discussing it before the season started. In all seriousness this is a bit of a waste of time. As much as Pardew's badly mismanaged him since late 2012 Hatem's more responsible than anyone else for being out of favour on loan at Hull City during the prime of his career. Hardly profound.
-
I don't know if you're seeing things again but not at one point have I referred to previous opinions.
-
I watched the last half hour too. It was pretty fucking insipid stuff.
-
Right about what? It doesn't take a genius to be right about Hatem Ben Arfa. He's a (sometimes) brilliant right winger who consistently takes the easy route in his career. And it's unfortunately led him to two appalling defensively-minded managers who aren't going to let him do his thing.
-
He's not any sort of target. I love watching him play and I'd certainly prefer him to be starting for NUFC than the rubbish actually in the side. Just pointing out the huge contrast between his situation and his (at one time vaguely realistic) stated ambition.
-
I'd say the one desperate for an argument is the one still arguing he's something he's quite clearly not.
-
He's a vastly overrated football manager. I've said it more than once.
-
Rob Elliot is an absolute world away from being a mediocre PL keeper. Asmir Begovic is a mediocre PL keeper. Elliot's just crap.
-
Yeah, of course he does. He's below Alan Pardew with a better team.
-
When have they been good though? They've scraped a few points here and there they should have.
-
Everton's best squad in years and still bottom half. Martinez not looking quite so much of an 'improvement', now.
-
You never know, man. Hull City might sack Brewce and the new manager could pick him. Watch out Ronaldo and Messi.
-
He isn't, but that was a nice goal. He is. Not watching this game, but haven't really thought much of him this season when I've seen him and for Galatasary and the Ivory Coast before and during the summer he never impressed. He got the odd goal but I thought he was going to leave Gala for the MLS or something along those lines tbh. In other words you don't know much of what you're talking about. Forgot Drogba is included in that magic trio you like so much with Ancelotti and Lampard. Listen, Drogba is a shadow of the player he was, but it's a bit weird how you have it in for him while persistently championing cheats.
-
I'm sorry but Chris Hughton convincing Hatem Ben Arfa to join a newly promoted NE team is about as believable as me convincing Kelly Brook to come to my house and scrub the bathroom.

Is Drogba the rare African who's actually younger than he claims? Seems a bit suspect, like: Best years all came after '25' and here he is looking brilliant in the PL at '36'.
