  1. Why did he defend Pardew at the height of his criticism (and Colo's poor performances) then?
  2. Pretty amazing there's a radio station stupider than most fans.
  3. Ronaldo

    St James' Park

What about those who go there to support the team? Not the rayjeem?
  4. It isn't though. And to be honest I think it's much funnier that someone did him with a dangerous tackle.
  5. I'm almost convinced that as a general rule the biggest egos in football belong to those who set up their team primarily to nullify. There are exceptions but the nicest, most self-deprecating ones at the forefront of the game let their players off the leash.
  6. He's been a the self aggrandising cunt for some time, though. Bit of a shame that losing to Stoke has (rightfully) been the highlight of the season for a lot of us.
  7. OK, he was broken for one day. I'll give you that.
  8. Reminds me of Souness saying his favourite 'wide midfielder' (wingers have no place in the modern game - G.Souness) was Camoranesi because he was great at nothing but good at everything.
  9. As if he ever wavered from that. When we were losing games for a laugh he was going on about 'great times' and fearing for his family.
  10. I got the reference, I've just got no idea how it works in this context with Dave Whelan.
  11. I think Whelan's always been the main one, like. Aye, but did you know he broke his leg? Never tells anyone you see. Doing a Gazza? That would be mint tbh. Eh?
  12. I knew your point, it's worth pointing out that as much as I like Santon I think we've lost more points than gained from that LB position in recent years. A lot to be said for a LB who doesn't give goals away and can score the odd goal.
  13. I think Whelan's always been the main one, like.
  14. Steady is exactly what you want from a centre half though? If you're referring to him at left back then fair enough. If, since Enrique left, we'd had a LB who defends consistently well, attacks the ball well from set pieces but isn't great on the ball we'd have finished higher than 5th, 16th and 10th.
  15. Imagine, the 19th richest club in the world being 4th for 2 hours. Mind-blowing stuff.
  16. I do think that we've produced so much shite for so long that our youngsters get a much narrower benefit of doubt than those from other academies.
  17. Decline in true working class areas north of the border will play a part.
  18. Except nobody said it was. Except it's a clear implication from the above posts. It really isn't. We were up against a side lacking quality, but one who competed well and naturally probably had more desire to win the game. We were levels above, played good football and scored 3 goals. There are positives to be taken, that's all.
  19. Except nobody said it was.
  20. Souness and Carragher having a fight.
  21. Where were USA's first team, like?
  22. Yeah, been a while since I've enjoyed an England game as much as that. We were very good.
  23. What a player, man. Captain fucking fantastic.
  24. Get in Rooney. The bitterness in that Scottish commentator's voice.
