Both extremely limited English managers and former captains / central defenders more skilled at toadying than owt else.

No. Hall came in after.
-
So good we didn’t extent his contract and instead brought in Fitz Hall.
-
He’s better in all of those aspects than Coloccini though. Brave and assertive too.
-
My point was you couldn’t play a high line with a defender like that. None of the clubs in the current top half have a starting CB so susceptible to athleticism / physicality.
-
Coloccini was a physically small CB who got bullied out of the way on a regular basis though. They don’t.
-
Given Trippier Schar Botman Enrique Lee Bruno Beardsley Robert Isak Shearer Asymmetrical title winners. Left back the one glaring weakness.
-
I liked Hatem a lot but I don’t see where you can fit him in really. Had much better options out wide and you couldn’t put a player like that in midfield.
-
Colo got murdered by Shane Long. All forwards are super athletes now and he’d still struggle hugely in any team that doesn’t sit very deep.
-
Tiote? I know everyone sees things differently and that’s amazing but Jesus Christ that’s a mad pick. There’s a reason Rafa didn’t want him anywhere near the side even in the Championship.

You been on the bourbon, brah?

Given starts for Man U and Arsenal without me putting any thought into the rest.

Was Mike Hooper.

5 out of 10 is pretty outrageous. So he’s only conceded 4 of the 10 penalties faced. Really impressive, but he’s built to save them. Long arms, and despite the numbers saying there’s only 2 inches between them a quick Google suggests it’s more like 5. Given gets the nod overall because as said he was playing behind comparative clowns.
-
Pope has saved a lot of Penalties for us. Probably already more than Given.
-
He did against Fulham and looked a bit fish out of water there. Much better on right.
-
Livramento needs to be on the right.
-
Building all sorts of fucking high rises.
-
You still fluffing Southgate, York?
-
‘Keeper makes a good save, actually.’ The ball went it.
-
Played for 6 clubs after us, made 75 appearances and scored 0 goals. Was never a fan of him as a player but could never fault his attitude. As a manager I hope he smashes it.
-
He’s *the* symbol of something that will never happen again; in English football in all likelihood. In truth Ancelotti was the only man capable of following him and playing ‘that’ way and they should’ve appointed him the moment he left Madrid 8/9 years ago, but it didn’t happen.
-
Funniest thing ever to come out of his mouth.
-
It’s not rocket science. He needs to be used as backup and impact sub when we need a goal or Isak needs a rest. I do cringe when people make out like it’s some big call for which one of them starts, because it really isn’t. I do also think Isak needs more support from midfield and RW in order to get the best out of him - fuck, imagine that - and preserve his fitness.
